I’m running 3 ported kicker L7 solobaric 8’s with the 1200 watts right now, but with the 2.5” seat lift I got, I should be able to get one more in there, and I’d like to hit them with ~2000wrms. Just looking to make sure I can support it electrically.
It all started with the mti enclosure with a...
Hey guys, I’m currently running a JL HD1200 amp and a 300wrms mids/highs amp, and I’m having zero voltage drop issues when playing the system loudly… but I was just wondering how big of a sub amp we’re able to push with the stock electrical? What are the typical electrical upgrade steps...
So, I finally got around to getting my system installed last Saturday, and I have the results for the tweeter fab. It ended up being much easier than shown in previous responses. Once you remove the pillar and take the tweeter/mount out, you can simply pull out in 3 tabs that secure the tweeter...
I don’t know if this technically counts as Atlas Blue for this thread, but I’ve started “the darkening”. I have the matte black FX4 decals, it’s just been cold to put them on. Soon
Ok.... I took the pillar off and looked... and now I understand exactly what you're saying. I guess I should've looked at it before I asked. Lesson learned.
Thanks for the help, guys!
I half want to upgrade to the c3 tweeter, because the install is so clean looking, but I plan on using the...
I know you’re probably getting frustrated with me not catching on, but I don’t see where it says how the modifications were done… just that he did it. I’ll try to explain my question better, I think I suck at wording things sometimes.
When I remove the pillar, I think I saw that there are a...
Ok. So the factory tweeter will come out of the grill, but you need to mutilate the factory grill/mount to make the .75” tweeter inside it? So I’ll still see the factory grill, but my .75” c2 tweeters will be mounted behind the factory grill… right
? what are you saying? Are you saying the cover/grill of the stock tweeter comes off with the tweeter, and you have to chop it up to use that factory tweeter grill?
Hey guys… I will be installing my amps/zen/speaker upgrades in the next week or two, and I was just wondering how you guys mounted the new tweeters in the stock locations? Crutchfield suggested hot glue or silicone, but I thought maybe there was a cleaner/better way to do it in these pillars...
Ya, I’m just going to put a 4 channel amp to the front components and rear coaxials… and just remove the center channel. Will I have any issues without the center channel? I know some vehicles, phone calls and other things only go through the center channel. I hope that’s not the case here.
Ya, that’s the idea. Lol. I was trying to not spend that much yet, on top of the MTI enclosure with JL 12, amp rack, components… and all the other accessories I’ve bought in the 3 weeks I’ve owned the truck ? It’s just kind of a necessary part for what I’m looking to do, I guess. No sense in...
Ohhhhhh. Ok. I know what you’re saying now. I had planned on running the front door signal into the crossover, and run the tweeters and door speakers off that signal, and abandon the stock tweeter feed from the ACM…. But I’ve decided to just order the nav zen and be done with it. Thank you for...
I bought the C2 component set directly from Crutchfield. I haven’t even opened it yet. I’m not sure what you mean by “protector”. Would it be something that came with the set? Their site says you can make a strap, or use glue/silicone to hold them in. I was going to just fab something up once I...
I’ll order the zen a2b and the block-off plates tomorrow morning. Any forum discount codes ?.
Thanks for the info! It def decided who I got the interface through ?
