I called Ford Customer Care and added my name and VIN to the coffer of people who have already complained. The lady was aware and said they are expecting a fix soon. I take that with a grain of salt. I asked if they actually test these things in a UAT environment before pushing to production...
Thanks for your help! The DTC has not gone away but its going in for some other updates and fixes next week so I will get them to fix that too. My system needs to be recalibrated after the windsheild replacement anyway. Safelite wouldnt do it since my truck is leveled.
Thank you. The battery charger idea worked. However it broke my collision alert system but whatever. How long do you have to wait to get next round of updates after one installs?
