I have this EXACT same problem. Told the dealer at around 30K under warranty, they “couldn’t reproduce it”. Then after all sorts of other problems with the truck (including the dealer overfilling the transmission fluid and causing it to shift terribly for months…don’t get me started) I went...
Figured I’d share my recent Ford failure. Got in my 2022 lariat powerboost and upon starting the sound system makes this screaming loud noise that settles to a SCREAMING LOUD static that won’t stop. Volume won’t respond, and can’t turn if off. I’m talking hearing damage level noise. So I roll...
It’s happening to me this moment and it’s ridiculous. I turned the truck off and on like three times and can’t get it to stop. I’ve got my windows down and EarPods in as I have a 90 minute drive to do in this nonsense. 2022 f150 lariat powerboost. It’s been one thing after another.
This whole thing is such a bummer. This is my first Ford Truck and what I’m reading about this problem makes me feel like I’m not going to be back in it for a long time. The dealer is saying they can get approval from Ford for a rental at $40-60 a day which isn’t exactly going to get me into...
I have a 2022 F150 hybrid and had the same problem. Started with a warning saying I had a fault in the auxiliary transmission pump. One trip to Ford revealed low, but not terribly low, transmission fluid. Filled it and the problem stopped for about 2K miles. Warning came back, and a single...
Update again, Ford is recommending they replace that auxiliary transmission pump which they don’t have and are waiting on to arrive. So it seems I’ve joined the waiting club here. I’m really curious how widespread this issue is.
Well, update for anyone else having this issue. After the first visit the dealer told me my transmission fluid was low…though there was no identifiable reason why. They filled it and the lurching of the electric motor at a stop stopped happening for about 2,000 miles. Then the same check...
Worrying about the damage it’s doing it making me insane. They should be issuing extended warranties at a STEEP discount at a minimum. Ideally just extending the warranty.
Man, I’m with you. I’ve driven Honda and Toyota for the past ten years….driven over 350k miles in that time period….quite literally zero mechanical failures. I had one speed sensor go out on a first gen Honda Ridgeline and other than that…perfect. My first ford and this is happening at 24k...
Man, I just had this happen for the first time yesterday…..thought I had been rear ended. I have to shift to neutral at stops anti prevent it. Had an warning about a power train co trial system failure right before it began. Getting it in Thursday but the dealer seems completely clueless when...
