  1. Newly Designed FordPass 5.0 App®: What to Know

Trust me I would love to leave this psychotic run country. Canada is slowly becoming a third world country ?
  2. Newly Designed FordPass 5.0 App®: What to Know

As a Canadian Fordpass user now when I select Canada and try to login it only has American address options with no Canadian province selections. It only showed America service dealers also. Wtf?
  3. Extremely loud electrical POP followed by loud static

I'm confused what you mean front to rear ground connection? I have a large main ground cable going directly from the battery negative terminal to a distribution block that feeds the new amps and zen. Do you mean I should rewire the exisiting factory ground that ford ran to the head unit...
  4. Extremely loud electrical POP followed by loud static

I investigated this over the weekend and didn't realize I already had the Zen power leads tied to the new amp power. My bad, it was 4 years ago when I did the install. The ongoing occasional pop with static was there before the stereo upgrade and even after. Whatever is causing this nuisance...
  5. Extremely loud electrical POP followed by loud static

Hmm....I see what you're getting at. Possibly conflicting dissimilar grounds between the old factory amp power harness and new amp ground to the battery. This would indicate a poor ground connection on the factory amp harness that could be the culprit of this static noise issue we are all...
  6. Extremely loud electrical POP followed by loud static

I performed the install myself. The zen module is plug and play into the existing factory power/signal connectors that powered the previous stock amp. As for the amps the main ground goes directly to the battery terminal, not the chassis.
  7. Extremely loud electrical POP followed by loud static

Yeah the intermittent loud pop with static issue still happens as it did with stock setup. Sucks because now the static noise is even louder with the aftermarket amps when it happens. So I installed a small ice cube relay to quickly disable the amps when the issue occurs. Ford should be...
  8. Extremely loud electrical POP followed by loud static

The aftermarket system I installed consists of the NAV-TV ZEN-A2B dsp interface module which is needed once you remove the stock amp/dsp. It decodes the CANbus digital audio signal that Ford uses and converts it to analog. From there it feeds an AudioControl D-4.800 4 channel Amp and Hertz HCP...
  9. Extremely loud electrical POP followed by loud static

Unfortunately not to be the bearer of bad news but it's not the amp. I went as far as removed the rear stock amp, all speakers, subwoofer and went aftermarket. The issue still persists on my 2018 F150 Lariat. My guess is it's either the head unit audio control module or something in-between. ?
  10. Extremely loud electrical POP followed by loud static

Nope, this issue has plagued our F150's since 2018 models equipped with the B&O stereo system. Was at the dealer 2 weeks ago for an oil change and asked if there was any service updates regarding this issue and they still played dumb as if it's only my truck alone that has this issue. ?
  11. Extremely loud electrical POP followed by loud static

Thanks for the progress update on this issue Lytning. As I posted before my 2018 F150 Lariat has been doing this since new intermittently. Now it's out of the warranty period and ford will charge me to replace the ACM. Even though it's a documented service issue since new they will not cover...
  12. Excessively Loud Popping Noise B&O Unleashed.

My 2018 F150 Lariat with B&O sound system has been doing this exact issue intermittently for over 5 yrs with no resolution from Ford. Pretty disgraceful that the 2022 models are still having this issue. My nephews 2021 Ford Ranger Lariat (B&O system) also has this intermittent issue so it's not...
  13. Extremely loud electrical POP followed by loud static

The cold weather seems to play a factor on this issue I have found. Happens more often in fridged cold mornings at startup. I'm at the point where I'm considering installing a power switch in line to the stereo head unit to power it off when this happens. 5 years I've been dealing with this...
  14. Extremely loud electrical POP followed by loud static

Yes the data cable is still stock and never replaced. Not sure if there is a junction/connection point in between the head unit and amp. Normally it's a straight run unless they daisy chained to another module. Something I will have to look into. Thx.
  15. Extremely loud electrical POP followed by loud static

Hey Barry thanks for the reply, been there done that. I've even went as far as removed the stock amp, speakers, subwoofer and installed an aftermarket system. Only the head unit is original and the issue still persists. The pop and loud static distortion is being sent from the head unit via...
  16. Extremely loud electrical POP followed by loud static

This has been intermittently happening for the past 5yrs on my 2018 F150 Lariat since new(B&O sound system). My nephew bought a 2021 Ranger Lariat and it's happening with his truck also. The dealer/Ford plays dumb and have no clue what's causing it, meanwhile so many of us are left with this...
