I exactly have the same problem. And up to now, Ford is still troubleshooting. I got mine May 2021, and it started the noise when it was colder about November 2021. After multiple times of trying to replicate it, the first job was to replace the flex plate and separator plate. Nope did not work...

Update: The noise is still there after the software upgrade (which Ford recommended on Dec. 12). So now they ordered transmission assembly. It will take a couple of weeks again.

Update: They did a software upgrade thus clearing the alarms. This happened to me before but with just a "service engine" lamp, SW upgrade then done.

How do you know if you have a "leaky" Heat Exchanger? Something actually leaks to the ground?

It does go away in about 10 minutes. Even if the HVAC is off it will start the ICE, the panel will show the reason is "Engine Cold".

I love the rest of the truck especially the generator when we go camping. I pull a small RPOD. It is able to run the AC on hot days if we camp unserviced. I am really hoping this year that they look into it.
