Well you might be correct (although I hope not!).
I got a call from the dealership yesterday saying that after 3 days with my truck they can’t figure out what the issue is. They have a call in for a specialist from Ford, but do not expect to get an answer until Monday or Tuesday.

My truck is now in the shop getting this issue addressed. It got hot early this spring and the intermittent "pre-collision assist not available" message finally became permanent. Hopefully I will get my truck back next week and I will be sure to update this thread with what the dealership did...
Mine only happens when it's hot outside. The alert will keep coming back about every 3-5 minutes until the interior of the cab cools down. Then it stays away for the remainder of the drive.
That's encouraging. Hopefully I can get mine corrected once it gets hot around here again so the dealership can see the issue first hand. The Ford rep on this forum put in my information and I received a phone call from Ford this morning. They informed me that they can not help with anything...
