2022 PowerBoost. I was installing a Fumoto valve and had tightened it a shy over hand tight (1/8 of a turn more) and took a picture to see it better and noticed the cracks.
Up until now all the oil changes have been at the dealership and the drain plug was on TIGHT.
Am I being paranoid?
I'm new to offroading, and Leavitt Lake was the toughest trail I've driven yet. I went with a friend of mine, he was driving a stock LX570 (with 20" wheels, tires aired down to 18 PSI) and my '22 PowerBoost is also all stock except for Talon's skidplate and Wildpeak AT4/Ws in the stock size with...
9,100ft - turbo noises intensify!
The eroded sections were a little above my paygrade so I could only drive and manage the drone on this stretch.

Anyone using a swing out toolbox on the drivers side? I'd like to get one but its going to block the power panel which I use quite a bit, so I'm wondering if the hive mind here has come up with some creative ideas for our trucks. :)
Are there any high volume 110v shop compressors that would be a good fit for the PowerBoost? I know that we have some gold standard 12V compressors like ARB, but I was wondering that given 110v on board, is there a more cost effective option open to us?
Is there a suspension modification that can provide dynamic lift adjustment? The use case is more clearance for bigger wheels but being able to get low for parking garages in town at work etc.
This was my first time planning a trip by myself, I used GAIA and OnX, along with Google Maps to get an idea of the route, the trail surface etc and planned a day trip in Stanislaus National Forest. I had my '22 PowerBoost with FX4 (and Wildpeak AT4Ws) and a friend in his Lexus 570 (his first...
I had to swap the high pressure fuel pump on my wife’s car and while I was at it, I changed the plugs too.
The F150 tailgate is such a great workbench for this sort of work. Not pictured here but I was able to use my shop vac with 110v power from the truck bed to clean the engine bay of the car...
My PowerBoost has done 25K miles. I’m ready for new tires and leaning towards Wildpeak AT4W in the stock size.
Kinda surprised at how fast the OEM tires wore out. Rotated every 5-7K miles. These are Hankook DynaPro AT2 tires.
How long did the OEM tires last for you folks?
One tire had a slow...
Hey all,
I'm picking up a safe and planning to bring it home in my F150 Platinum - how much weight can the powered tailgate take in the open position? Can I safely slide the 450 lbs safe and tip it out over the opened tailgate onto a dolly without damaging the tailgate? I plan to use 3/4"...
I bought a Bodega 53 quart 12V fridge ( https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08D96FM73/ ) and I'd like to use in the truck bed under my BAK X4S tonneau cover. It fits, but my concern is that when the truck is parked, it will get really hot inside the covered bed and the fridge won't work very...
Went for a short errand this morning. Pulling out of the garage my 701A cameras were fine, got back home 12 minutes later and the front camera doesn’t seem to be working.
It was raining. So I don’t know if water got into a connector or if this is software related.
Short of the hassle of a...
We had a fun Sunday with our completely stock PowerBoost at Dog Creek near Redding, CA. Lots of snow and ice and the stock Hankook ATs were serviceable aired down to 24 PSI. Slippery traction mode and controlled movements helped.
I’ll have to buff out the pinstripes.
Are the stock tires FX4 tires with 20" wheels okay for mild offroad use? Gravel and forest roads with some ruts and rough sections? I'm asking because everyone here seems to immediately want to replace them but when I was in Mammoth last week and it snowed, they seemed fine offroad on the couple...
The metallic rattle is from a soda can near the phone's microphone. Didn't realize it would be so loud. The "trouble here" was for the drone and tree cover which makes it hard for the drone.
Was easy to carry 5 bikes, 4 riders, and gear with the 5.7’ bed F-150. Could’ve fit a sixth bike but that slot would have caused its tire to rub on the passenger side taillight so that’s no good.
Getting this in FordPass. And this symbol appears on the instrument cluster intermittently.
The vehicle had a recall on it for this but the recall said “inspect and if necessary install” and I want to check if that harness extender was installed.
I don’t want to leave the truck at the dealer...
