Wondering why I’m seeing some trucks with plastic slots in the lower bumper grille and others with no plastic slots there. Are some people removing theirs or did some just not come with the grille insert?

Has anyone looked into what would be needed to add ambient lighting to an XLT? I liked that addition on the Lariat and above trim levels but it wasn’t worth the upgrade to that level for me. Would like to add it at some point though.
