I'm using Snap & Zap clip ons with a 25' X 96" wide travel trailer. Actually prefer these over the factory tow mirrors on my last truck. Plenty of coverage, about 65 bucks as I recall
Bought my 21 XLT used under duress after my Not-So-DurableMax left me stranded towing 1000 miles from home. Bought what I could find on the lot. Gotta say, I'm impressed. Very nice interior, lot of options, trouble free after 3 years. Almost exactly what I would order new today.
I went the other way, so yes, they are interchangeable. Have a set in the shed for cheap, SW Wisconsin. Have to wait till spring, though. On the road till then.
It's the 5% that is the problem. Travelling thru the SW and Baja months at a time is a LOT of dust and dirt. Thought of just installing the lower seal from a kit and sticking with the foam on the sides, but already on the road. Also used 3M black weatherstrip adhesive to seal all the gaps in the...
Thanks for the input. Read the entire section and it does seem the vehicle speed will increase following the signs. As I said, I don't know what I don't know. Now I know. But I'm the guy that doesn't always feel the need to do the limit and frequently set the (adaptive) cruise something less...
Would you know where to find that setting? Doesn't sound like something the legal department would ever approve. Don't get me wrong. I don't know what I don't know. But what's happening seems downright dangerous. It doesn't adjust itself for reduced speed zones. Lets me stay where I set it.
Yes to both, but I'm driving on I 35 all day long. Speed limit is never 80, and certainly not 30 mph. Also noticed it jumping up 2 or 3 mph by itself every so often. Speed recognition should never override the manual cruise setting, and cause sudden acceleration. That's a real safety issue...
Anyone else see something like this? Towing the travel trailer, tow haul mode, cruise set anywhere from 60 to 65 mph. Cruise gets a mind of its own and jumps up to 75 mph. Thought I might have touched the cruise button on the wheel at first, but later this happens again when my hand is on the...
I have no problem calling out Alpine Ford in Pueblo, CO. Walked over while the Chevy dealer is doing an autopsy on my Duramax Colorado. Salesman, Jason, tells me anything new will be 10 to 17K over MSRP. Bought mine used at the Toyota dealer next door. I did mention this on Google reviews.
CindyC, can you quantify what you mean by noticeable? Do you mean around 10% as others have suggested? This thread has really gotten my attention as my truck is used primarily for towing.
powerboater, thanks that's what I asking about. Not sure the old Duramax/6 speed ever hit top gear in tow mode, maybe downhill. So a bit surprised the EB will. We shall see.
Air to fuel ratio. I get it. But is there a real world difference in mileage by locking out OD versus letting tow/haul operate as designed? The truck was new (to me) at the time and I guess I was paying more attention to the gas guage than what gear it was in. Was sure the mileage would be less...
I was asking what kind of mileage you get by manually locking out OD, and if that is somehow different than how tow/haul operates. As far as AFR and 13:1 reference, could you put that in plain English for a simple guy like me, please?
