    Rotating mass is the single largest impact. Running the combination that is lightest and thinnest really is the goal. The stock 18s on the XLTs were pretty light and cheap.

    Im shocked the mpgs are that close for you. Im hearing many with the 6.8 brother are getting like 22 if they try for it. I can get 24 or so out of a regular 3.5.

    GM doesn't make a single good half ton engine today, so I wont give it too much attention. The 6.6 is great, but not that powerful and Id imagine the half ton application would be detuned, so idk where this is really going.

    Same thing with mine at between 50-60ish. I think driveshaft balance? Its like an oscillating resonance.

    I, non pb, also have very jerky shifting intermittently through gears 1-6 with 1-4 being way more often. I have my parents truck as a reference and can say its not normal. Their truck, a normal 3.5, is luxury smooth.
