  1. Console to Jumpseat: The Quest for More Seating

What would the front panel trim look like if I just did a console delete? And how involved is that? In my current truck I deleted the jumpseat to make room for my cooler. The new truck I'm going to get has a center console and I'm wondering how onerous it is to delete.
  2. Recall for 2021-2022 2.7L - Broken Intake Valve

It started misfiring, took it to the dealer that day, sent them the recall notice. They checked the engine valve and saw that it was cracked. Pretty sure that was all they needed to know. There's another recall out there for fuel pump that can cause misfiring, so if you encounter misfiring it...
  3. Recall for 2021-2022 2.7L - Broken Intake Valve

I'm currently getting my engine replaced under this recall. I'll update people on timing and performance afterwards if you're interested.
  4. Slids F-150 Reg Cab 5.0L 4x4 Build

Your old truck looked great. New truck looks even better. You made the right choice w/ 5.0 RCSB. The payload, wheelbase, and power combo can't be beat. As long as you don't need to move more than 1-2 other humans around at a time, it's the perfect offroading/camping truck. Excited to hear how...
  5. Pro Power Onboard Service Required error message

yeah they replaced the 2nd alternator and presto, all was well
  6. Loud pop from driver side wheel well when returning wheel from full lock at low speeds

unknown. could have been from using 4WD on higher-traction surfaces when I didn't need to. expensive lesson learned perhaps? I now only use 4WD on snow, mud, and sand. Never on dirt or gravel roads unless it's steep and technical.
  7. 2021 f150 2.7 replace battery

Hey I noticed my auto start stop is gone now too on my '21. Is there a way to test at home without going to the dealer? Also—I'm about to hook up a winch with 5/16th terminal connectors. Where should I mount those? There aren't obvious connection points on the post adaptors. I've never hooked...
  8. Any product to convert front tow hook to hitch receiver?

To avoid @DT400 's concern, couldn't you just always winch off a snatch block in front and double back to your other hitch receiver? Shouldn't that put equal force on both sides? I want to do this after installing a hitch receiver mounted below the bumper and regretting it. Don't want to mess...
  9. Removed Active Air Dam From my F-150 - DIY Writeup

Ok so it is possible to remove the non-active air dam (the permanent one above the active one) without removing the bumper. But I had to get creative to access the bolts behind the license plate area. If you cut out the flimsy piece of plastic below the license plate that covers up the top of...
  10. Removed Active Air Dam From my F-150 - DIY Writeup

@M4X how on earth did you remove the nuts behind the license plate area? I got all the others, took about 3 hours just to get those. Feeling like a fool for not just taking the bumper off to begin with. Now I'm like 5 hours cumulatively into this job, so dumb, but I'm not trimming this thing...
  11. 13th gen mirrors on 14th gen

Tow mirrors look good and that's a backup, but they're expensive and it's easy to come by the 13th gen OEM mirrors used for $100 or less. Is the fit issue just with the pins, or is the 13th gen mirror shape not going to fit a 14th gen? If the former could a pin adaptor work...
  12. Loud pop from driver side wheel well when returning wheel from full lock at low speeds

@Swags was right; it was a failed CV joint. When turning the wheel from full lock the shaft would pop about an inch from the edge to the center of the joint. This jump is what made the sound. Replaced CV axles and the sound went away; case closed.
  13. Pro Power Onboard Service Required error message

mine started throwing the "pro power service soon" warning not long after running a hairdryer out of the cab to unfreeze latches to my canopy in subzero idaho temps. in the dealership tonight, pray for her boys. feels like my baby is in surgery.
  14. 13th gen mirrors on 14th gen

Hey has anyone tried putting 13th gen mirrors on 14th gen truck? New mirrors look like limp wrist; old mirrors look like flexed bicep. Our trucks would all look way better if we could swap ?
  15. First Warranty repair - Charging System Service Now (Charge System Fault)

I started getting this notice two days ago after a week of cold weather in Idaho. I have the 2kw pro power and use it all the time, so it's definitely a bummer to be without it. I have a dealer appointment in a few weeks. Any tips on what to ask for? I should be under warranty (year 1, 15k miles).
