Ford does have an update for the B&O system that the dealer has to update. They will likely want to charge you for it. I recommend contacting the official Ford Account on this thread and see if they can open a ticket for you and get them to cover it. I have not experienced the super loud popping...

Here is what happened the second time. Loud popping than this.

Wow. That was awful. One of the worst headaches I have had in a while. I had to disconnect the battery. Luckily I was going slowly down a gravel driveway when it happened the first time. I had to turn around and go to the shop mechanic and undo the battery. There was no way I could handle that...
