Sounds like a boost leak to me. I would take it back to the dealer that performed the CDF drum work.
Can you share details on how you got them to replace CDF drum? What were the symptoms or problems you were having?
Thanks! I was referring to you receiving the extended warranty on the engine after competition of the test. Hopefully I’m in the same boat. Going to research the timeframe of completion and schedule out as late a possible.

Can you confirm the gear indicator on the dash reads ‘P’ until you hit the gas, then it jumps to ‘D’? Or are you just noticing that when going from Park to Drive, the truck does not move until you give it gas?

2001 M5 here with “Sport” button and it predates the “M” button just like the 2002 M3 above. Funny to hold constant pedal and switch to that mode, throttles immediately open ~10% more. Throttle response with 8 individual throttle bodies is incredible, as you are aware with your S65!
