Cannot generate enough kW to sustain the truck towing. Pretty easy to run the math on kW output versus engine displacement. For an F150/F250 size truck you probably need a 3.5 liter engine, minimum.
If you have a Job 1, 2021 PowerBoost without any updates then you are simply suffering through all the bugs that have now been fixed in the current model.
We used to have several people on the forum who could help people fix these problems but I have not seem them active lately. Bottom line the...
California is in deep trouble. Their tax base is fleeing the state, particularly the really deep pockets who pay most of the tax. This is not sustainable.
I would like to see the same chart about migration for those who pay little or no tax.
The big beautiful bill eliminated penalties associated with the current CAFE standards. Today rule making was announced to eliminate the future requirements of the CAFE standards. So with this change current standards are in effect, but they are now guidelines since there is no penalty not to...
I don't know the OEM for axles. Torsion yes and regenerative braking via integrated electric motor, inverter and gear box.
Some views of the drive system.
My LightShip build (VIN #4) is now on the line.

Also, LightShip has added an F-150 PowerBoost to the test fleet of tow vehicles joining a Rivian and...
And the voltage output of the DC/DC converter going to the 7 pin is not generally not enough to charge an LFP battery found in a towable RV. External DC/DC converters expect to see charging from the 7 pin associated with a normal alternator and voltage regulator, so they get confused and will...
Forget the 7 pin, 12 volt feed. The voltage regulation is not going to do much charging your LFP trailer batteries.
You have PPoB 7.2. Just feed the trailer with that feed via an umbilical. I have been doing this since 2021 with my PB.
See this post...
I have owned three PowerBoosts (2021, 2023 and current 2025) with 80,000 miles total and 50% of the miles towing 7,300 lbs. Each one has been better than the rest.
The 2021 was a Job 1 of a new F-150 model. FDRS garage updates kept it running. Current 2025 is a nicely refined product.
The...
Old pricing information. First model released was the Cosmos which is the founders edition with other incentives. That model is sold out.
The only two models available to order now are:
Atmos $184,00.
Panos $151,000.
Those models are priced very competitively with premium models of the...
Latest version with 2025 PID's. Some new PID's for 2025. Will post .stg file when I am done.
Now you can see real time high voltage battery input and output in kW. This is the net input and output accounting for traction motor operating in motor mode and/or generator mode. So this is really the...
And remember "gas miles" are hybrid miles. The traction motor is constantly assisting the ICE for those miles labeled as "gas". Electric miles are only recorded when the ICE is off.
