Oh yeah the old reliable "inconvenience 101 that I've never had to do on any vehicle" of turning off the AC before every single time you turn your vehicle off. Effing Ford (or the govmnt if you believe the video).....
What I like about this one is the "textured" part is a small print held by magnets. Swapped easily! Not sure if all versions have this, but yes - I actually have 4 others ready to see which I like more ...
Should be plug and play. I suggest you take the drivers side trim and disconnect the shifter - and connect the part you got to confirm it works before you trim the tabs on it (in case you need to return it). Turn the truck on, actuate it, then turn it off. Should see no errors, and reset or...
Awesome, thanks for the feedback! Do you (or anyone else) perchance know if the e-locker button works? I know the drive mode button doesn't... I'm not finding any with the blank button online currently that I can guarantee come from a 2022 vehicle - but plenty of the other 2!!
I've been eagerly researching the crap out of this thread for my 2021 PB Lariat, and finally 3D printed the parts... Went to ebay and purchased what I THOUGHT would work... I want the dial with the + / - but blank in the middle. The part number is JL1P-7P155-BF. Looks like there's multiple of...
It works a lot better than the only other method I've found, which I call the "spray a crap ton of Lysol into the A/C intake" method, for sure. But it's still a few times a year...
I also got to use it on other stinky areas of the house and it's worked wonders! Once the "rain" (ozone) smell...
Took mine to a dealer... Again... They said nothing found..said no one else has complained / this is the first they hear of it?? I call BS...
Anyway, I bought a little ozone machine and l run that for a few minutes while on Max AC with recirc and it removes the odor... Can take 1-2 weeks for...
I got the pano roof so I'll have to give this a look! Pretty sure mine is (mainly) from the A/C since it mainly smells strong when I first turn on the A/C...
Won't hurt to add to the list of things to look out for!
Damn shame... Lysol smell stays strong for a few days if not longer after spraying the cahoots out of it... And have to repeat it every few months, to boot. Almost literally the only undeniably bad thing I hate about this truck! Disappointed, Ford!
Man... same thing here. 2021 PB and whether I recirculate (or not), crank the heat right before I get home to dry to dry it... Lysol (does actually take the smell out, but not sure if it's masking it or actually taking it out... lasts a few weeks?). Had drain checked, and no leaks into cabin...
Yep! It's the infamous Powerboost-only exhaust heat exchanger leak, which seems hundreds (or thousands!) of people are having. The dealership finally said there was Ford documentation (not sure if TSB, or whatnot) and fixed it.
They did TWO pressure tests. One of them was for a few hours, and the second they left overnight... Even me showing them exactly where to look, they found 0 leaks. Could it be that this heat exchanger line is not always actuated/in service unless it's needed and potentially this is a spot that...
I haven't posted in this thread in a few months, but at that time given that I had top off the coolant reservoir each month with one to two cups I figured that I had a heat exchanger leak. I took it to the dealer three separate times and they couldn't find the leak. Even told them the part...
