Nothing from the dealer. Ford has been equally unhelpful. Last communication I got from either was this text on August 8th. Going to take to a different dealer soon when I get the time.

Complete ignorance or incompetence apparently. Both times they’ve claimed “we’ve completed all the updates.” But clearly they’ve done nothing of the sort.

UNFORTUNATE UPDATE:
Picked up the truck from the dealer. They cleared the inhibit and supposedly updated the BCM, I brought it home, was in a hurry and didn’t turn off automatic updates…
BRICKED AGAIN!!
Yup all on Ford, they assigned a customer care agent that takes care of communicating with the dealership. Got a call from the dealership that it’ll be ready in the morning.
It’s on the tow rig to the dealer now or I’d fiddle with it some more. Thanks for the help, judging by the message when I ran a scan on the BCM you were dead-on with OTA inhibit being in place. Also had some sort of IPMA error on the GWM scan.

No dice on disabling the inhibit. Ford roadside assistance it is lol. FWIW I also tried going through the BCM SW update and also encountered the NFTSA password issue.
