Yeah I hear ya 100% We don't ever want to brick our trucks and not be able to use them. I'd like to hear what FP says about using the KAM reset function that is part of the ProCal device. Maybe that is all you need.
As a side note I did use the KAM reset on a family members 2020 2.7...
That's really weird crazywayne. I've installed the FP, uninstalled it and then re-installed before on my 2.7. No issues. Looking forward to what transpires between you and FP. Good luck.
Thanks for all of the reviews. I am FP tuned on my 2.7 and I am very happy with it. Like the OP I went back to stock for about 15 minutes a month ago and wow did the truck feel lazy/numb/boring. The FP tune is not going to shave 3 seconds off of your quarter mile time but it sure does sharpen...
Excellent information on here. I had to do this to my 2009 F150 back in about 2010. I used the Mercury Marine grease that was recommended by numerous people on the forums as no other grease would last more than a few months. I never had another slip yoke clunk in 15 years...
264winmag - I finally got around to doing this mod and it was super easy and it works. I'm thinking the remaining wind noise is a function of mirror design..?
If you're city is dropping salt/brine and you don't flush the frame out a couple of times per year with your garden hose then I would expect the vehicle to rot. Doesn't matter what brand of car or truck in this area of the country, they all rot if not maintained properly.
My 2009 F150 was...
I've been busy the past few months and have done several "upgrades" but my favourite is the Ford Performance 2.7 tune (M-9603-F27). I purchased it from Lethal Performance for $615. It's been installed for about 1 month so far and I am loving it. It's my first time tuning an ecoboost but...
Stunning truck! Very tasteful. I am reversed leveled as well, and have my Eibach's turned up ~ 3/4" at the front. Drives absolutely fantastic. I just hauled 1200 lbs of lumber and it squated but did not contact the bump stops. Point is if you want to get some of that sportier feel back...
Great idea, I wish I'd seen these a few months ago prior to me making templates for all of the door pockets, gear shift side trays, storage cubbys etc and then lining them with EVA (boat decking) foam. Makes a big difference.
Hate being a bug but can you take a couple of photos of exactly what you're talking about. I'd like to try this and combat a little bit of noise. To the OP I had my driver door aligned last week and it has helped with wind noise, not perfect, but better. Factory weather stripping was not...
Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I just tried it on my 23 XLT and it worked using the keypad as per the instructions posted. Prolly won't use it a lot but will come in handy once in a while.
Well I bought the Aero Cosmetics Rubber Care a few months ago and finally had a chance to use it over the the past couple of weeks. Absolutely fantastic results. I followed the steps listed on the container and I did my General Grabber ATX two weeks ago and they have seen a lot of rain and...
