  1. For the 3.31 haters

Seemed to be about the same.
  2. For the 3.31 haters

I have 3:31 with the 3.5 eco non-PB. I hardly ever tow, figured the 10 speed would make up the any difference I needed, so I went for fuel economy. Now that I have it, I‘m not sure it is the most economical. At highway speeds, any load on the engine, even small inclines or touches of the...
  3. Best replacement battery

My truck came with an H7. Replaced under warranty with an H6. Its dying now. Not a PB. So, if I understand, H8 should fit and I dont need to do any forescan magic..it should swap in just fine? Sounds like the jury is out on the blanket, use it if you have it.. Dont worry about it if you...
  4. Update 10.1.0 / Sync 24.2.1.6

Looks like I’m behind on updates and this one is available. Seems like it could be a big one. Anybody having any big issues after this update? I do use wireless carplay quite a bit. While it has quirks, its been pretty reliable. Id be sad if i lost that.
  5. Anti-Theft Kill Switch

You could go high tech with something like this: https://www.iglausa.com/ i have no experience with these, but I think they‘re doing canbus injection. If you try to start the vehicle without authenticating to their module, it‘ll send a kill command. I kinda wonder what kind of havoc could be...
  6. Step OR Ladder

my last truck was a gen 2 Lightning. It was also lowered 2” in the rear to level it out. Pretty easy to get in and out of the bed. When I ordered the gen 14, i thought, “i don’t need an old man step!” when i received the truck and went to get in the bed i realized how much higher the bed is...
  7. Step OR Ladder

And with this one it comes down at an angle so it’s usable even with the tailgate down? Is the main support metal? crazy the price difference between this and the amp one.
  8. Step OR Ladder

which one? I saw some generic ones on Amazon that were quite a bit cheaper, but couldn’t tell if there was a reason for it. Are you happy with the one u got?
  9. Gauge choice

I bought this and have an automation on my iPhone to start the app when my phones Bluetooth connects to the truck. I do have to tap “connect” in obdlink to connect to the adapter. I only connect the power if I need to. I found mounting like this does a decent job of keeping the phone cool...
  10. Gauge choice

Get a obdii adapter like the obdlink mx+. Then you can see all the gauges and values you want on your phone.
  11. What tools do you keep in your truck?

If you’re running the stock lug nuts, you might want to keep a 21.5 mm socket.
  12. Vehicles thefts Key vs PTS

I’ve heard of those in other countries. I’d rather have a physical switch because the key moves in my pocket.
  13. Vehicles thefts Key vs PTS

I’ve been rockin a cheap Amazon faraday box for home and pouch for my pocket since day 1. The pouches seems to wear out pretty quickly and leak signal. The box mostly worked well until recently. It’s leaking signal as well. So, don’t get too confident in the Amazon solutions. I still don’t...
  14. Swapping in 3.55 or 3.31 Gears into a 4WD

I’ve got 3:31, 3.5, no PB. When I ordered, I figured the transmission would make up for any lower gearing I needed for the most part, so I went with the 3:31 for fuel economy. But, I only get like 13.5 around town and 21 on the hwy. Here’s something I’ve noticed, at highway speeds it doesn’t...
  15. 12v Battery Charge Limits

if you charge without the bms, let the truck sit undisturbed for like 8 hours. It should learn the new soc. If you reset the bms, it will reset the battery age as well. So typically you only do that when putting in a new battery.
