The switch wires are already grounded so if your light has both wires just find the nearest ground and avoid running all the extra wires. If you want to keep the runs short id suggest using the cab harness under the passenger foot well. Just connect the wires you want to use under the hood and...
Im going to attempt to fix it myself once I get some free time, but may take it to dealership if pulling the fuse box becomes too much of a hassle. I got some advice from the person who pulled the fuse box to repair it themselves and removing it involves removing the inner tray to access the...
Youll need to get a loc, i used the kit from sgs and the whole thing was plug and play no cut or tapped wires just unclip factory connector and plug in their harness. I have the B&O though so the keyloc just went into the amp, I'm not sure where the non B&O taps into. Give the guys over there a...

I stuck a camera in there and ripped it all apart as well the bundle of wires is very tight and the wires are fragile. I and another member broke our cruise control running through that location. Another member broke a wire that completely shut down his truck. My guess is you do have a broken...
Did you run the amp wire through the firewall grommet above the wire harness? Seems the wire like to rip apart if placement isn't perfect. Also never hook up power without knowing everything is grounded. Constant power feeding the equipment with no ground hooked up could fry something.
I just installed the same sub with a kicker cxa-800.1 and was planning to run it at the full 600rms it was designed to handle and its honestly too much at least with the other speakers being stock. I had it putting out 34ish volts at volume level 20 and normal driving volume of 10-12 on the...
I ran a power wire for an amp and a couple aux wires to the rear for amp turn on and an eventual rear light setup i want to do but I got those wires from the kick panel. So only the power wire went through the grommet I saw a ton of people recommending, the little nipple above the main wire...
Ill give it a try then, thank you. I had seen other posts about devices that link to a certain vehicle once plugged in. I've used plenty of OBD scanners but mostly just for scanning and doing logs in torque havent used a laptop to change ecu settings since the old DSM link so I just want to make...
Hey all I picked up a forscan tool that I saw recommended it is the vgate v-linker, says all the right things on the Amazon page but now that I'm reading through the spreadsheet its saying 21+ needs the OBDlink EX and doesn't show my device in the list of acceptable devices. Is this just an...
I came from owning Dodges so every fix defaulted to "replace everything" with the problem most likely being my fault I'm guessing at minimum its a complete replacement of wiring harness which means dash removal and likely several thousands to repair. Its not effecting drivability and I'm...
Fix at the dealer is likely replace entire wire harness so I'm guessing not cheap. So for now my options are to find and fix the wire which requires removing the box and connector. I could find the pin on the in cab connector and run a new wire entirely up to the radar harness, or I can live...
Looks like it have a broken wire somewhere in the firewall bundle and I'm going to need access to the harness boot from the engine side because I can barely get a couple fingers on the harness cab side even with the bcm removed. Does anyone have a diagram of the under hood fuse block/junction...
Also today even though it still says collision assist not active today at work I was driving through the parking lot and had the truck slam on the brakes again with nothing in front of me. I work at a metal shop so theres steel and beams laying all around so maybe one of the small sensors picked...
That's probably what happened i just don't see any damage to the wires. Those threads are how I found this site, I posted in one of the old threads with the same issue but never saw a follow up on if he ever found the wire that was broken or how to actually get to it. My only hope is getting the...
