  1. Cordless impact wrench for light home use?

Pick a brand and stick with them so you have multiple batteries to use on multiple tools. I've been with DeWalt for several years with zero issues or complaints. I also have 3 of the impact wrenches simply because when the sales are great for the multi-tool packs, they usually come with the...
  2. XL backup camera upgrade?

Give it a try. The parts cannot be that different. I’m not sure what you are trying to gain though. I have an XL (stx), 2021, and the camera is perfectly clear, wide enough angle of view for backing, good depth of view, and works every time. It’s clear as long as I wipe the road grime off...
  3. P0471 Error Code when in ECO mode

Here are the comparisons. I used several q tips soaked in isopropyl alcohol to clean out the old one. There was a lot of carbon buildup. I tapped it on the towel and several healthy chunks of carbon came out prior to the Q-tip and alcohol wash. I think I'll keep this one and see if it will...
  4. P0471 Error Code when in ECO mode

Good ideas / points. This time, I towed about 80 miles, mostly flat land, so not continuous boost for long periods. Coming home, same route (reversed of course), about 20 miles into the trip, CEL popped up. The second time it occurred, I had been driving about 30 miles when I decided to go...
  5. Tires Pictures! (Help me choose new tires)

Unfortunately I do not. They are all black, no white walls, no white lettering, and not some “aggressive off-road” poser stance since I do not, in fact go off-roading more feel the need to look like I do. ?. I may be able to snap some pics tomorrow though, since it’s totally dark outside now.
  6. Tires Pictures! (Help me choose new tires)

I just replaced my factory 20’s with the Michelin LTX M/S2 tires. I have about 500 miles towing on them and they are hands down a more planted feel.
  7. P0471 Error Code when in ECO mode

I have a 2021 STX 2.7 4x4 that I use to tow our 6000 pound airstream. Current mileage is 35,000 and I always run 93 Octane from Marathon. I am now replacing my THIRD Motorcraft EGR Pressure Sensor. The truck is almost always in regular mode or tow/haul mode. But just before I received the...
  8. Brake upgrades?

I just installed the powerstop rotors and pads designed for towing. They are quite a bit grabbier, but It’s probably because they are a more aggressive pad. I’m very satisfied with the improved stopping.
  9. Gun holster on side of center console

Seeing all of these cool pics makes me wish I hadn't sold all of my firearms at the local gun shows to buy fishing equipment and a camper. I really miss shooting.........
  10. Ranger to F-150

I went from a 2020 Ranger XLT to a 2021 F150 STX. I like both vehicles. I'm glad I upgraded to the F150, because a year and a half later, my wife and I decided to purchase a larger Airstream. The funny thing about the Ranger? When I traded it, I was in the dealership for an oil change. An...
  11. 5.0 > 3.5/2.7

Race trucks. “Fast and the Furious 23 : Hillbilly Vengeance” synopsis : In an effort to smuggle manure to the rice fields of China, Dom ships 11 Ford F150s to Singapore, armed with only leveling kits, 35s, and an overdue Amazon shipment of NOS.
  12. Anyone regret choosing the tow mirrors.

At least they aren't Dodge tow mirrors. Every time I see those, I shout TOUCHDOWN! and throw my arms in the air like a ref calling touchdown. :)
  13. Anyone regret choosing the tow mirrors.

We always joke that the big truck with little mirrors look like Shrek (tm), but I'm sure they really help the fuel economy quite a bit.
  14. Anyone regret choosing the tow mirrors.

The tow mirrors are probably the best feature on a truck for anyone that tows, wants zero blind spots, or just wants a good looking truck.
