Well that’s interesting. Are you having any issues now, are the bolts broke. I drove mine 4 years and almost 60,000 miles before I had an issue. Got the recall done last week and had put about 800 miles on waiting for the parts.
Unsold 2025’s at dealers now have a recall waiting, there’s 100’s...
I know. You would think you couldn‘t be anywhere better than Detroit metro area. I’m not even sure where the new axles are made and I imagine batches are sent out to regional distribution centers.
One thing is they replace the whole assembly so even if you are wearing the splines through use...
Yes the experience seems inconsistent.
About 3 weeks ago I started to hear the rattle and squeaks from the right rear. I have about 58,500 miles including probably 5000 miles light (7000 #) towing. Removed rear wheels right rear bolt sheared off, left rear loose. Called local relatively small...
Snake started it so yes great King Ranch and great write-up. I’m at 1272 days on my 2021 as of today and it’s as good as the day I drove it out of the dealership. About 56,000 miles. Today I spent a few hours washing it, it had been awhile. I hope yours is fabulous still at 1272 days and beyond!
The days of leaving cars at the airport for 8 days or longer are long gone for me. I take some shuttle transportation and leave vehicles inside on a charger. I’m trying to cool it on all my miles on my 21 PB (55,000) so it’s idle in a garage on a ctek charger for weeks at a time. If I had to...
If there are residential construction sites in your area you can easily find scrap pieces of exterior sheathing (very strong) to cut in squares. Also, good jack stands are nice like the ESCO’s with circular feet. That’s the combo I use on epoxy floor or driveway.
I have a 2021 King Ranch PB coming up on 3 years and 51,000 miles. All options, essentially zero issues. High speed highway, towing, gravel roads, snowstorms you name it it just works.
Yes I know. It’s a Powerboost but the motor/battery are dead weight at these speeds. Diamondback tonneau cover, Michelin LTX tires at 38 psi. 4x4 max tow. FX4. Not drafting. No A/C until end, perfect 55 degF. 91 octane. Light load. ??
Turns out I hadn’t reset my trip odometer for the last leg after fuel see attached picture. This is on I-10 east of Tucson. Quite a bit of traffic.
Anyway 23.3 MPG at 71.2 average MPH. Not sure I’ve ever seen that high mpg at that speed.
Also I attach my trip odometer since I picked up the...
Yes I agree, seemed high to me too. Lost about 7000 feet in altitude and must of had a tailwind most of the time. Ideal conditions. Premium gas light load. Gaining 7000 feet with a headwind I’d be lucky to get 18-19 mpg.
It’s funny, I’m coming up on 50,000 miles in 2 years on my 21 King Ranch PB with essentially zero issues. Today I drove 600 miles in about 7.5 hours averaging 23 mpg. I started with the truck totally cold soaked at 15 degF windshield completely iced over. Within 10 miles the seat and steering...
I’ve done about 10 oil changes in 45,000 miles in my 21 Powerboost. I use a factory or Mobil 1 filter with Mobil 1 5W-30. I enter the service in Ford Pass and attach photo of the process with mileage. Why do I do it? Usually the dealer quick lube will over tighten the filter and spill oil all...
Thanks for posting this. After 45,000 trouble free miles in my 21 PB KR today the drivers window auto up would go all the way up then down 2 inches it also did not go all the way down on auto.
This procedure fixed it. Seem to happen out of the blue.
