They said that there was no parasitic draw. Everything was shutting down as it should. But the battery still lost voltage as a result of it being faulty. That was as much as I could get out of them.
Well, I got my truck back from the dealer yesterday. After 11 months and 5 trips to the dealer, it's the battery.
The good news is that they warranted the battery and hopefully this problem is solved. I would also add that Philpott Ford was very helpful and responsive. They gave me a nice loner...
While I agree with this, the short trips are not the only issue. I can charge the batteries, drive a few hours, and when I start the next time, no auto start/stop. A couple of more stops and we go into deep sleep mode. Ford says the battery is good, charging properly, etc.
I will have it back...
At this point I would just pay for the battery if that solved the problem.
The dealer said they did the updates the last time that I brought it in for this.
By having someone on here check it, can tell if it was completed? Or just that it was available?
Where would I ask that at?
Exactly. I feel like I know more about what's going on with it than the tech. They act like this is the first time they've heard of it. They're like "oh your battery passed the test." ?♂️
I have seen several threads relating to the 2021 f150 battery drain, deep sleep, etc.
Rather than comment on every one, I figured I would just ask in a new thread.
HAS ANYONE HAD THE ISSUE SOLVED??
Mine went to the Ford dealership for the 3rd time for this today. All kinds of alerts on the dash...
Did you ever figure out what was wrong?
My 2021 F150 is in the shop for the 3rd time this year. This time it had me stranded. All 3 times they say the battery is ok. This time they are keeping it for a few days.
cakryg did your issue ever get corrected?
I have a 2021 in the shop for the 3rd time. They can't figure it out. They have said every time that the battery was not the issue. Just ordered the NOCO jump start. Hope to hear from the dealer Monday afternoon. Hopefully with a solution.
