Looks like these do not do anything for my truck therefore I can probably leave as is for now until I find the cap without any issues aside from having bare wires.

Mine is the 3.5 also. Yea there are only 3 wires brown, white/green stripe and yellow

I does seem like it could be the one you pointed out but I do have that one plugged in. From the picture you provided it seems to more likely be the one I circled.

I purchased a wrecked 2021 f150 STX 3.5 ecoboost and I have been able to identify everything missing aside from this one wire. It is located on the left (driver) side about the wheel wheel. I can’t seem to find the other end of the wire also. I am guessing some sort of a sensor goes there...
