Well hot dang! Glad you got a new truck in the end out of all this. I got mine back from the dealer in 14 days after they replaced the PCM and some wiring harness. Fingers crossed the problem does not come back but if it does, I’m glad to hear the Ford reps seem reasonable with the buy back.
The dealer wound up keeping my truck for another week and replaced a wiring harness and a pin connector as well. I’ve driven it maybe 5 times since getting it back on Wednesday last week and haven’t had any problems.
Got a call from my dealer today (exactly one week after dropping it off). They said they needed my second key to reprogram it to the truck after replacing the PCM (powertrain control module). Said I could likely pick it up tomorrow. Fingers crossed that was the correct fix! Will report back.

Have they been able to reproduce the issue? Or did you bring it in with the check engine light still on? Because it’s so intermittent, I’m worried they’ll just ignore it and say it’s “fixed”. I’m kind of hoping it happens to me on the way there or a few days prior so I can make sure the dash...
What a great suggestion! I am having the same issue as the author of this thread and am in the process of debugging this myself. I just checked my fuse box and, like you, half of mine weren't fully seated. Fingers crossed it was as simple as that to fix!
I'll try and remember to post back here...
For the last month, my 2021 F-150 XLT Powerboost has intermittently gotten into states where it won’t start. It has 12,000 miles on it with no issues up until now. I absolutely love this truck but not being able to count on the truck to start is a scary thing.
I’ve had three types of errors...
