Largely the same for me. I get the Fiat employee discount (5% below invoice) and still the equivalent Ram would have been more expensive than my F-150.
If you live in an apartment where the truck can't reach your WiFi, it can be helpful for software updates.
If your truck cell plan is metered, you can do some downloads on a road trip without using that plan.
I park about 40' from my WiFi router and have unlimited data for the truck, so it...
I haven't seen any others with this issue. Two weeks ago I started the truck and found all the climate control lights blinking, the buttons wouldn't respond, and the outside air temperature was not being displayed. I was looking at a 4 hour drive home without any heat. Only the rear heated seats...
You can also get alerts like door opened, etc. That's been nice when the truck is valeted, it lets me know when it is on its way.
Finally, the long distance remote start is very nice in bitterly cold weather. When the temp is below 0ºF, it's nice to start the truck from within the office.
I took off the stock all-weather rubber and put on a decent snow tire. It has made a significant difference, especially now that the weather has warmed and the snow isn't as grippy. Now 2WD ECO mode works better than 4WD slippery mode did.
I think we are through the worst of it (SE SD), this was the windchill yesterday. I'm very thankful for very hot seats and steering wheel. The wind was strong enough that we had blizzard conditions without any falling snow, it just blew the top layer of powder around.
Specifically as it affects stress on the engine, there is no difference between payload and trailer weight. The engine has to move the same weight either way.*
The difference is in the frame's ability to take the load. When you have a trailer the frame takes a fraction of the load (see @redline...
I just ran my configuration. In 2022 it priced out at $67,065, the 2023 model with the same specs comes to $71,975. That's a $4,910 increase, or 7.3% increase. With inflation at 8.2% over last year, it looks like Ford is lowering the cost of my Lariat.
Two 2009 Ford Focuses. One went to one of the kids and someone else's insurance company paid $2200 more than what I originally paid for the other.
Last truck was a Nissan Hardbody, and before that a 94 F350.
I did a long trip (4K miles) and used ACC the entire time. On highways it worked best at max following distance, except when going through cities at rush hour. It even detected vehicles in fog before I could see them. I only had to intervene on the brakes once when it didn’t “see” the vehicle in...
From my experience, if speed limit recognition is on the system will fill in with a database based on your GPS location. For instance, if it hasn't seen a sign in a while but the data says the speed limit is 80 it will set your speed to 80 ± your tolerance setting.
I've had this come one once...
I'm not a big fan of borrowing money, but our situation changed rapidly and we needed a truck. That mean the down payment was smaller than I would have wanted, but I still took the aggressive payment plan and got Ford's low rate.
My payment is just over $1,200, but it will be done with quickly...
