My Ford/Retrax cover leaks too. Both back corners along the sides, tailgate seal is decent, either water is not getting to the rail channels or rail channels are overflowing before draining into the canister.
And I hate that I have to tarp gear under the cover.
Any suggestions are appreciated!
So does it start when the tank is empty but trips when it tries to restart when the tank is at the low pressure cut in? If so you could try lowering the low pressure cut in or just manually bleed the tank down before restarting. A lower starting pressure will have a lower in rush current.
Keep in mind the PID y’all are pulling on the OBD for oil pressure is PSIA, not PSIG. I say that because mine would show 14.6 or 14.7 when the engine is not running. I created a user defined one where 14.7 is subtracted. I typically see 45 psig for the “high pressure“ and 25 psig when the pump...
I ran mine for 5 days after Beryl and missed the ford pass power pro information. If ford pass does not have it added back to the app by the next extended run occasion my plan is to turn the center display back on and set a wifi camera that I can check with my phone on the console. Might even...
i see average battery temp 118-120 range but don’t know min, max or ideal. Also I am not sure if there is an override for the A/C to come on if the climate control is off. I have only noticed it a few times when I had the fan set to 2. Will see how it does tonight, hopefully it will contine...
Another observation for this old thread. I have been running the generator for 24 hours now, averaging 400 watts on A and 700 watts on B. Typical cycle time is 11 minutes off and 2 minutes on (charging). I did wake up last night to find truck not cycling at 1000 rpm SOC over 70%. Climate control...
I don’t think the IPMA changes worked for me. It has been a year since I made any forscan changes. So I downloaded the latest version and made backups of all the as-builts. Made the IPMA changes and saved to ECU but if I go back in and look they have reverted back to original values.
Make sure you have downloaded and set up app for your vehicle first. Then share files in iCloud. Go to “settings” then “menu” then “import files” select iCloud and see if that gets you what you want. Kinda looks like you are trying to import PID’s instead of dashboards
Thanks for posting your results on moving the coolant lines for that fourth bolt. Might do the same with a button head bolt when I am under there for next oil change.
If you have the fiberboard cover you can reuse the two bolts and nuts from the rear and two of the 8mm head bolts for the front. You will need two nuts and bolts for the front frame attachment points.
If your truck did not come with the fiberboard cover you need four of the nuts and bolts for...
Fddlt371 nice write up and photos. I had to laugh because I did drop the red clip from the switch connector behind the dash. That adds another 10 minutes. I spliced the jumper after measuring the required length and had no problem inserting pins from the rear. Just orient it properly and it...
Check the first post of this thread for more details. I ordered these - Terminals for HDC connector C2304 - pin 4 (female) and inline connector C214 - pin 12 (female) located behind the A/C controls. The Ford part #'s for these terminals are WT1001 & WT1002. These two terminals can be...
The wire was not there on mine so yes it needed the jumper added. ForScan changes detailed at the beginning of the thread worked for me. I don’t have my mod file available to tell you my exact changes but if you need them let me know and I can post in a few days.
I believe these will work. Captive nut W717461-S439 and bolt W704336-S439. You can reuse the nuts and bolts from the rear L brackets that attach to the frame and you can pull two of the 8mm bolts out of the fiberboard shield for the front center attachment points. So order at least one set of...
