I have a 2021 lariat that i want to switch the tailgate to one with a step. The replacement is from a 2022 with camera and release but my harness has a 3 wire split from the main harness and the replacement has 2. When i unhook my 3rd wire i lose the backup camera. What changed in the harness...

I put a piece of aluminum channel across the whole back, riveted along the way about 8" apart and bolted through the aluminum to the mounts.
