  1. Towing Stability Upgrades?

I've seen it mentioned several times in the past by others pulling a trailer with a WDH and sway control that the truck's trailer sway control feels like it causes isssues. Turning it off is simple, reversible, and free way to see if you notice any improvement.
  2. I have a new dump trailer. Im not seeing truck voktage on the trailer harness

Try starting your truck and then plugging the harness in and see if that makes a difference. I went down this rabit hole when I put electric over hydraulic brakes on my boat trailer. Sounds like all of the newer trucks are very sensitive to the load on this circuit, with GM being the worst...
  3. Weight distribution hitch

Looks like a Reese. Unless it's an earlier/different version it looks like it could be missing the locking blocks that are used to adjust the hitch angle on the shank. It's also missing the brackets that attach to the trailer for levering the chains up and loading the trunion bars. It would...
  4. Car Scanner ELM OBDII App

I just noticed this the other day. The Car Scanner app appears to be Apple Carplay compatible. I'm not sure if this is new or if I just haven't been paying attention. The app itself doesn't seem to be as robust as the OBDLink app, but it does have quite a few of the PIDs that I use in...
  5. 2025 Powerboost rough idle

Straight from the manual: Eco idle increases the engine idle speed above normal for a short period of time to efficiently charge the high voltage battery. Note: Engine sound and vibration could be more noticeable
  6. 2025 Powerboost rough idle

Check and see if you have eco idle enabled. If you do, it will idle high while it charges the ev battery. The drag from charging will give it a slightly rough idle feel.
  7. What button did I push to screw this up? (12v accessory pin - 7 pin connector)

It's a known issue and it's not limited Ford. Many of the newer trucks have issues with charging trailer batteries, even the smaller batteries used for the breakaway actuation on the trailers. There are several threads here on similar issues. Several people, myself included, were able to get...
  8. Beta Test with Canopy

From the install video on their website it is. I watched and deleted the email immediately after. No thanks.
  9. Bedside Lariat Emblem

I think this guy nailed it and all other attempts will fall short. I had to do a triple take and then scramble to get a picture while trying to pace him.
  10. Towing with and without Tow/Haul Mode with Powerboose and gas mileage

The info below was something I previously posted in a similar thread. Another thing I see a lot of is people deciding to use tow/haul based on weight alone, especially those lighter travel trailers. Once you're moving, frontal area and wind drag needs to be the biggest consideration. I can...
  11. 2023 Tail Light Issue

I never did. It's a work truck and It'll be a major pain to have to remove everything from it and store it so I can leave it for a dealership to try and fix. I also don't have lot of confidence in their ability to track down and fix in a timely manner what I think is a module issue. I'd...
  12. California CARB States Banning all 2025 Class A, B &C RV's over 8,500# GVWR

I love how the carveouts and exemptions apply pretty much exclusively to vehicles owned by the government, especially K-12 school buses. No gas vehicles for you, but we need them to drag your kids to the indoctrination camps. If it's such a good idea, lead by example. Hypocrisy at its finest.
  13. Trailer batter not charging error, searched everything I could find. Help

Similar issue after I installed electric over hydraulic on my boat trailer. The battery would indicate it was charging if I plugged in after starting the truck. If it was plugged in when the truck was started, it wouldn't charge. I called Hydrastar, the manufacturer of the EOH system to see...
  14. Just a Little Boat Upgrade & Towing Experience

As mentioned, a spare tire and mount will bring your tongue weight up. Also, check your trailer for level while hitched. If you're dead level or slightly nose down, you can pick up some tongue weight by raising your hitch a few inches. Caveat, If your trailer is on leaf springs that are...
  15. New 2024 KR powerboost Stop safely now

On April 6th I got OTA 23-PU1009-SS-NS. Part of the description is that it updates the PCM to prevent a possible "Stop Safely Now" message. Mine is a '22 and has never had that issue. Not sure if the update would be applicable to your truck or not, but it's a thought.
