  1. Max Tow Axle Bolt - Preventive measure?

Hi all. I started this thread. So, my axle bolt finally broke (passenger rear). I do have a spare bolt in my truck that I purchased a year ago. Has anyone ever heard of anything bad happening because of the sheared-off bolt head?
  2. Heat Shield

2022 PB XLT Max Tow The heat shield toward the rear of my truck is starting to fall. I have talked with two other owners who have had theirs fall off completely. Any suggestions for securing this? I would rather not wait for an appt at the dealer.
  3. Airbag Light Always On - After Removing Rear Seats

@Jesse-Infotainment Thanks for the suggestion to reconfigure the RCM to the new seat config along with the cluster. How would I do that?
  4. Airbag Light Always On - After Removing Rear Seats

Here is the truck-side connector that doesn't have anything to connect to. I'm wondering if I could just buy something to plug into this. Thoughts?
  5. Airbag Light Always On - After Removing Rear Seats

@dolsen @Zyvin Thanks for the suggestion to check/clear the DTCs. I went to the local auto parts supply store (O'Reillys), but no DTCs were detected. Also, I connected the connector attached to the center seatbelt, but that did not seem to help (yet). I've probably stopped and started the...
  6. Airbag Light Always On - After Removing Rear Seats

@purpoise hork i'm not sure what i did in relation to the keys (on/off) ... i might have turned the car on at some point. i definitely did not disconnect 12v power during the de-installation. @dolsen when you suggest to double check the connections, what connections were you talking about...
  7. Airbag Light Always On - After Removing Rear Seats

Hey folks, Yesterday, I removed the both rear seats (passenger and driver) of my 2022 F150 (Powerboost XLT). When I drove it today, I noticed that the airbag light is always on. This wasn't happening before I removed the rear seats. I assume that the airbag light is from a disconnected...

  9. Automatic Software Updates????

How does everyone approach software updates? Do you accepts them all automatically, wait to see if they are stable, or never update?? I've read about people who regret doing some of the updates, so I'm just trying to figure out how to approach this. The Ford app is trying to get me update to...
  10. Max Tow Axle Bolt - Preventive measure?

@Buyer2021 You make a really good point. If I'm going to trouble of having the dealer look at this, I'd want to really confirm that it's entirely correct, which they have (ostensibly) the expertise to do. Could you estimate how long it might take to have a qualified technician do this work...
  11. Max Tow Axle Bolt - Preventive measure?

@Buyer2021 Thanks for that advice. I agree that would be better. The dealer is going to try and do the bolt replacement as warranty work (rather than me paying for it), but I will pay for it if it can't be done that way. He did say that if I pay for it and Ford issues a recall later, I...

@Buyer2021 Thank you! And, thanks for send this so quickly. :) I am still here at the dealership -- waiting to pick up my truck from the oil change. I will pass this along to the folks at the Ford Service desk here. I know this help me get this fixed correctly.
  13. Max Tow Axle Bolt - Preventive measure?

@Snakebitten @Buyer2021 Thank you all for posting about this and sharing your experience and pictures. I have a 2022 PB XLT with Max Tow. After reading it, I called my local Ford dealer and scheduled an appointment to have these bolts changed as a precautionary measure. We are leaving for a...
  14. BAK X4S Rolling Tonneau - Divots in Aluminum Underside

Thank you all for the comments and especially the pictures. @imnuts @speedracercjr I would prefer not to have this exposed metal divots, but I'm going to accept the divots as a manufacturing flaw ... but not a major one that would affect the performance of the cover in any significant way...
