Also - I'm not a warranty expert, but in my experience as long as the issue is documented as a problem before the warranty expiration, it should be covered under warranty. I'd make sure you have some kind of written documentation of the issue, somewhere.
Yes, though in my case is was a blown fuse (F212) to the aux battery the PowerBoost models have, see my post here.
I don't think power for the tailgate actuator runs through here, I'd check the RGTM fuse, which is F37 in the 2021 service manual I have.
Here's all the high current fuses:
HIGH...
Updated the design a bit - it fits better, and included an example 3mf for splitting the model in half to connect together inside the vent vs trying to fit it over and potentially breaking something!
It still falls off the back part of the handle that moves the vent back and fourth sometimes...
Got the inline fuse wired up and the battery installed (so 15Ah of LFP in parallel with the existing Aux AGM), I mangled the box some more but managed to fit both in the existing battery box location and taped it shut with some flashing tape. I used a JK-BD4A8S4P from JK BMS as the BMS which...
Yup, and I'm surprised that didn't go first. I was able to get the fuses out and confirm it was the issue (in retrospect could have done a continuity test with my meter here too)
I'm going to go with a "temporary" solution of an inline 125A fuse jumped over to the main part of the busbar...
Thanks for the video link, that was helpful, and the ticket!
The BCMC does not have to come out to remove these high-amperage battery junction box fuses. It's as easy as:
Removing all the wires coming into the BJB and setting aside
Sticking a pry bar between the outer part of the BJB and the...
Oh, and a picture from the top - red I'm pretty sure are tabs that need to be released and were easy to do so, yellow are the ones I think are tabs but are hard to release (or maybe they're just retaining clips for the lid and I'm looking in the wrong place)
Where the green arrows are, there...
Wondering if anyone else figured this out - I have the service manual steps for 2021 below (assuming it's the same for later years) but I have no idea how to get the clips released, they are really far back there. I can get it half-loosened but that's about it.
I found on an F250 video...
I'm not exactly sure. If I had to guess - the under-hood AGM voltage was really low at some point perhaps? Or maybe I shorted the positive and negative terminals accidentally on the aux batt side?
When I replace the fuse and re-set up the Aux battery situation (managed to fit my custom 15Ah...
The fun continues... I think I blew the 125A fuse (F212 in the diagram here: https://www.f150forum.com/f129/powerboost-auxiliary-battery-isolator-569730/) in the BCMC / Battery Junction Box under the hood (behind the battery, next to the fuse box, connected to the battery isolator). Have my new...
I'm working on a 3D printed alternative to tearing the entire thing apart. Finish isn't factory, but it's a lot easier to install. Sharing since it's the general interior forum, posted the details here: https://www.f150gen14.com/forum/threads/vent-handles-coming-off.18909/post-729409
OK, it took me about 11 iterations but I finally have something. It's not perfect - so while I'd be more than happy to mail anyone these for the cost of shipping, I'd like to iterate a bit more and see if anyone can improve on my design. And maybe get some black PETG and dial that in.
I printed...
