Wow didn’t know my thread was still an active discussion. Just a refresher, ultimately they replaced my entire wiring harness. 1 year later the truck is working perfectly since .
My reason for not taking it elsewhere was that the GM at this dealer agreed to supply me a loaner truck till mine was fixed. I did call other dealers who were unwilling to supply a loaner and Ford Warranty only covers rental replacement for a short period of time.
Updated to 7 year / 200,000km warranty.
Ford rep looking to reimburse for the 3 months I was without the truck/Grimsby selling me a phony warranty. Payment forgiveness or service credits.
Truck is running great so far. One small rattle from the dash on bumps where the tech probably missed a...
Update:
Have had the truck back for about 5000kms. So far so good, BUT, let’s not forget the issues mainly occurred in colder weather.
Multiple modules were replaced and a new main wiring harness was put in. The repair is currently listed as “open” till the cold weather hits again around...
Local Shell was out of regular gas and was offering 91octane (ethanol free) for the same price so I filled up.
Man what a difference! Same driving routine and I got an extra 160kms on the tank!!! 27mpg vs usual 22mpg.
I’ve talked to the mechanic on many occasions. The truck has been “fixed” once again but with an UNVERIFIED a repair that will stay open till winter when the conditions arise that first caused the electrical issue.
However….. new Ford rep is working on a resolution to get me out of this truck...
Yes.
New wiring harness and all was “fixed” picked it up last Friday and all was okay for a couple days….now it’s back at the dealer with;
Check Engine Light
Transmission not in Park
Hill Start Assist not Available
New Ford rep is on the case, I can’t divulge too much more into what’s going...
My truck has been in the shop since Jan4 with major electrical issues.
i am in Canada with no lemon laws and Ford Canada is useless in finding a resolution (get me a new truck or give me my money back)
Hmm how would you be in a new truck when it’s a 6-9month wait on new orders…
Or you would settle on a truck you don’t want that’s on a lot?
as per a previous post on this thread there are no SuperCrew 6.5ft box Lariats in Ontario
MSRP $79k. I paid $75k. $71k offer is a slap in the face when the truck is a lemon and non of this is my fault.
Its very easy to be a keyboard warrior when you are not in the same situation…
