  1. Ford’s freezing windows

The 40 in WD40 was the 40th mixture the chemist tried. See first FAQ here: https://www.wd40.com/how-to/faqs/
  2. Ford’s freezing windows

I wouldn’t use plain WD40 on the rubber window seals as it does contain some petroleum products which aren’t good for (relatively) softer (non-oil resistant rubber) like window tracks. Same for Fluid Film. I think both these products are great for the right application. For example I...
  3. Thoughts on our OEM batteries.

Could be, lol! Regardless, to eliminate both issues, and since Motorcraft batteries seem to suck lately for whatever reason, I upgraded to a non-Motorcraft H8 and bought a 4DTech A-S-S eliminator to counter both problems.
  4. 2021 F-150 Platinum PowerBoost – Ongoing Electrical/Module Nightmare

And with your replaced APIM, the potential solution I listed above may not work either, as they MAY have introduced some incapability that won’t even let you update all the modules. As you said they may have done more harm than good.
  5. 2021 F-150 Platinum PowerBoost – Ongoing Electrical/Module Nightmare

Sorry for your issues. You probably have two main issues, but you’d have to throw money and time at it to fix, and even then who knows if you’ve got a lemon. The two MAIN issues are 1) 2x likely bad 12V batteries that should be replaced (main one in engine compartment which could be upgraded...
  6. Auto Stop/Start not working after subwoofer install

Resetting the battery sensor (BMS) will tell the truck’s computer that it is a new battery and thus charge differently than it was doing with the old battery. The BMS will learn the new battery‘s state of charge sitting locked overnight but if you don’t follow the procedure of flashing the...
  7. Auto Stop/Start not working after subwoofer install

Follow your owners manual below for how to replace the battery, reset the battery sensor procedure, reset window bounce back if necessary, and note your transmission shifting will have to relearn itself after battery disconnect. All in this page here...
  8. Fordpass inoperable?

6.3.0 starts my F150, and my ‘25 PHEV Escape, just fine. iPhone.
  9. Auto Stop/Start not working after subwoofer install

How did your audio installer hook up power to the sub? Here is a caution about how not to do it from your owner’s manual, and also a note about adding electrical components in general. I’d say on something like a high draw sub/amp the note would apply even more. I’d upgrade my battery to an...
  10. ECU module programming guide using FDRS

Copy that. After 24127 then came 25094, then 25211 just a few weeks ago.
  11. ECU module programming guide using FDRS

22293 was released on the 293 (late Sept) day of ’22, so it’s over 3 years old. The latest is 25211 that I’ve gotten on my ‘24 F150 and ‘25 Escape. I don’t know what the latest released version is for a ’21, I want to say 25094??? FDRS will (evidentially) certainly release more newer APIM...
  12. 10r80 Transmission 100,000 Mile Service Performed (filter & fluid pics)

The digital transmission temp is on my measurement screen on my ‘24, no mods from Forscan. I think ‘24 was the first year.
  13. Pre Collision Assist Light On

Ross0001 your symbol means what you think it means. It could be as simple as the front window is dirty at the top in front of where the rear view mirror is located (interfering with the forward camera view) or the radar sensor is blocked by the recent addition of a winch or something, or one...
  14. Engine Temperature During Steep Climbs

If you run the air conditioner, the grille shutters on front will open and the temp won’t spike so high during the climb. I know, this makes no sense if you are old school. Old school you’d run the heater to help dissipate heat. But in this case, your shutters were closed likely because it...
