The wheel liners were in short supply at one time. I know my Limited, which was built on July 29th and still awaiting a chip, was held up because of the liners, retractable tonneau, and seats (which the dealer erroneously included). We cancelled the seats and tonneau but Lay's hasn't shown up...

I would have laughed and most likely given them one of my looks. So, they believe you have to drive 15 in a heavy rainstorm or not cross the creek when you are off-road? That is total BS! I too am interested in Ford's response.

I had the same build date, PFD664. My truck is sitting in storage awaiting a chip install. You are probably a victim of the same scenario! I will keep you posted with any updates I get from my Dealer. The Ford Rep told the Dealer she was going to be monitoring the status as well.

My truck was blended on 7/28 and built on 7/29. It is still sitting in storage waiting on a chip as of this morning (9/15). The Ford Rep told the Dealership it shouldn't be very long. I have already signed all the paperwork and traded the '18 Platinum in but still driving it.

I know that feeling. Nobody can tell me anything but the Ford website is still showing a 9/14 delivery. The old "the check is in the mail" scenario.
