  1. Catch Can?

As stated, its from my old truck. 2013 3.5 Eco with mods.
  2. Catch Can?

No, that came out of the catch can, in @2500-3k miles. It separates like that after sitting for a few minutes. Nasty mix of oil, gas, water. Note: The PCV still works to let the engine breath to get rid of moisture, etc. Just the catch can gives the ability to trap most of the goop before it...
  3. Catch Can?

I'm not sure it is as critical on the newer 3.5 Ecoboost (and Powerboost) that have the direct and the port injection. The port injection will help clean the valve and combustion chamber of the EGR PVC goop But It definitely cannot hurt to keep that crap from being put into the entire intake...
  4. Catch Can?

    Thanks, it'll be here today?
  5. Anyone planning on adding a Catch Can on their Ecoboost or Powerboost engine?

Bingo It WILL collect goop, oil, gas, water. I know everyone says the port takes care of it but I'm not buying it. Yes, the port injector should clean the intact tract and valve, but why let the rest of the system, from the intake tube, to turbo, intercooler all get full of goop. My 13 looked...
  6. Catch Can?

Pull off the hoses to your intercooler and let me know what that looks like.... All the port injection helps to clean is right at the valve. Your still sucking all that crap right into your intake system, no bueno. My 13 had @ 3k on it when I upgraded the intercooler and it looked like I dumped...
  7. Anyone planning on adding a Catch Can on their Ecoboost or Powerboost engine?

Unless you want to keep all that crap out of your intake, turbo, intercooler, etc. The port injectors may help at the valve side but does nothing for everything ahead of it. If you don;t think so just pull off the tubes on your intercooler and let me know what that mess looks like.....:)
  8. Catch Can?

Anyone have a catch can setup that works with the Powerboost they could recommend? I had a UPR setup ony 13 3.5 Eco that worked great, but it doesn't look like they make one to work on or fit the Powerboost. Any info appreciated. Thanks!
  9. Holy Horsepower!

23mpg lifetime. I'm guessing you don't do much heavy hauling or towing. I have a 22 PB CCSB 4wd that I trade in a 2019 F250 CC Diesel to get. I brought my 28' enclosed trailer (trailer is 7' tall, probably @7500-8k on this trip) home with toys in it last week and averaged @ 8.5 mpg coming down...
