Where was the sun? I find that if the sun is at the wrong angle (shining directly into the camera is my guess), hands free won't engage. When the angle changes, it kicks in. It probably isn't able to see the lines as well or something is my guess. There's definitely some logic behind it though.

Yes, it's completely hands free as long as it's a mapped road.

I don't know for sure, but I bet you could go in to Forscan and turn it off. Do you use Forscan?

I think manufacturers are going to err on the side of caution with something like that. 20 seconds isn't very long. The question is, is this something that you could disable in Forscan. I would be interested to know that.

That's correct. Presumably, they think you're about to accidentally lock them in by hitting the lock button. With the keypad, you have to deliberately lock it and then they figure you'll know the code to get back in.

That's pretty sweet. I might have to get the Truxedo Elevate too. I kinda figured you could put both as long as the spacing worked out, but had never seen it done. This makes me confident that I could make it work. Thanks!
