We have installed a full race and mishimoto on a couple of F150 Ecoboost's and did not see much help with heat issues. Not worth the money in my opinion.
So the 33/12.5/20 will fit if you use a +20 offset wheel. I installed the same size tire with a +1 offset and they rub. I had to take a hydraulic jack and spread the crash bars 1/2" to get them to clear. If you don't want to mess with anything stay in the +20 offset range.
That sucks that your having issues. I hope they get something figured out for you. There are definitely lemons from every brand, trust me I have seen it.
Just driving around that might be true but on a 80-90 degree day towing 8000lbs that stock thing heat soaks fast. The much larger more efficient aftermarket ones will keep the air cooler and enable you to hold power due to timing not being pulled and a colder charge air. I am a big believer in...
CVF now has a 2021 specific intercooler for the f150. Shipping out next week. I have one coming and I am looking forward to it. Had one in my 17 and they are a great intercooler.
It rubbed bad enough in reverse that I knew I had to do something. I took a bottle jack with a wood block that I drilled a hole in for the shaft of the jack to go into. I then placed the jack horizontal between the two crash bars and spread them about 1/2". Measure before and after, you should...
Sorry been gone. Rims are 20x9 0 offset not -18. Yes the rims are made by gear and I really enjoy them. I did spread the crash bars about 1/2" and have zero rubbing. I did not and would not cut the bars at all. I love the setup.
No 12 is surprising. I see around 15 just cruising around with the same setup as yours. I can get 16-17 on the interstate. If you leave the stock tires you could definitely do better but I am not a stock tire kind of guy.
Yea you can get that with stock tires but not heavy 10 ply tires in the 33" range. I avg 15 cruising around and 17 at best on the hwy. This has been the same with my last 3 ecoboost trucks.
This is my 3rd ecoboost and I knew what I was going to get as far as mileage goes. I buy the ecoboost because the power is fantastic and they pull amazing.
