I did this once - leased 2015 Lariat Sport with optional 20inch wheels. Hated them. I spoke to the dealer - as my lease had already included the cost of the 20inch wheels, they switched them with another Lariat Sport that had the regular 18inch wheels, and just put a new mark up on that stock...

unpopular opinion - i would love a dial where I could turn the "fake" sound UP if I wanted - I'm getting the powerboost, and while i generally love how quiet my current 3.5L EB is, sometimes I just want a nice V8 rumble. Would be happy to add MORE piped noise in if I could....

Has anyone ordered a Platinum with the CARMELO interior - and actually has a build date / VIN? None of the dealers close to me have that interior on their Platinums. I wonder if that's a hold up?

I ordered mine in September. Platinum, hybrid, 4x4, moonroof - nothing else. Still no VIN or build. Emailed my dealer requesting they re-prioritize my order (apparently, it's currently code 015). No idea what's going on.... Glad for those that have VINs.

Has anyone who ordered the carmelo interior received a VIN or build-date yet? I ordered a carmelo interior AND a powerboost engine (3 months ago) - no VIN or build date assigned yet. Not sure if it's because one of these two items is in short supply, or my dealer has that many retail orders...

I'm sticking it out too - hopefully the delay isn't long - it's quite a classy interior, and worth waiting for availability (if the rumors are true). That, coupled with the supposed limitation in the PB engine option, means this will unlikely be a Christmas present for me....
