@F150 TX just like you said if the Terra Grapplers came in 295/75/18 SL I would choose those hands down. If I was looking only at function only I would go with the Michelin defenders in the stock size. I’m not really a fan of any other brands right now. I just put a set of Michelins on my wife’s...
Check out the 295/70/18 Nitto Recon Grappler. I believe they make a SL and E rated versions. I’ve read a bunch of review on here about guys running them with no rubbing. I’m torn between those and the 275/70/18 Terra Grappler G3’s.
Well life happened and I’m still rocking the original tires. I’ve only heard that they are fine in the rain and better than some of the competitors. Now I’m debating between the Recon Grapplers (295/70/18) and the Terra G3’s (275/70/18) when I’m finally able to get new tires.
I used Corroseal to convert the rust and it provides a protective base layer. For paint I like both Spraymax 2K hot rod black and Eastwood 2k chassis black. The Eastwood is nicer but expensive and there’s not as much product in the can. The Rust-Oleum rust reformer is really good too.
I used a product called Corroseal. It’s a rust converter and it leaves a protective coat. I think it can be painted after. It worked great on the rear differential & axle surface rust. I just painted it on with a brush and touched up any other spots I could find while I was under there. It’s...
Brake fluid is hydroscopic meaning it absorbs water over time so I go by a time interval and not based on mileage or color. It’s way cheaper to do a brake fluid flush than deal with rust or other crap later on. I usually do it every 3 years at the most. The other items are definitely an upsell...
Another vote for Bosch Icon’s and another fan of Project Farm. I’m in south Texas and my set has lasted me 2.5 years. I’m getting close to replacing because the sun here is brutal on everything. I just keep an eye out for sales on Amazon.
My 1973 Mach 1. Bought it from my father in law several years ago and I’ve been working on it slowly. Besides being trailered from his garage to mine it hasn’t seen the road in 40 years.
I like your style. That one has really nice clean lines. Road Armor makes really good stuff. I just know I would smack my knees on those shackle mount tabs. Post some pics after it’s installed!
I have this bumper. I like it a lot. Coating seems like good quality and very sturdy. The steps on the corners help out getting into the bed a lot especially since I have 2” taller blocks on the rear. Only complaint is that it was a pain in the butt to install and my license plate lights flash...
Sad to hear they got bought. Do y’all know when this happened ? I put a set on my 2022 right after I bought it and have not be easy on them and they still look almost new (just dirty). I’d go the lineX route if I have any trouble. I’m just hoping the motors last a long time.
