I'm looking at getting the same cap. Can you tell me if the tailgate opens without opening the cap? I was hoping it would without the trim piece that most models have. I've grown accustomed to being able to drop my tailgate with the fob.

On trailers the usual standard is black for + and white for -. Sort of following the AC convention of black for hot, white for neutral. Of course it's always a crap shoot with trailers as nothing is entirely standard.
