I’ve been watching it pretty closely and I can honestly say that i’ve experienced no difference! I’m averaging 17.8 combined miles (mostly spirited stop and go city driving to prove I’m faster off the line than the occasional Chevy or Ram that pulls up next to me), but on the last 200+ mile...
Why hello everybody! GrowedUpTaco from VA! I’ve been on the forums for a couple weeks now. Super excited to be here. I traded in my ‘10 Tacoma and picked up a ‘22 XLT FX4 with the 3.5 Ecoboost back on 8 May. Aside from getting stuck on the side of the road and subsequently having to replace...
I just put in a set of Baselayers, but dang the Tuxmat is like total coverage! Might have to hook up the backseat for he kids! Thanks for sharing. I didn’t even know these existed ?
Checked out the video on their website. You’re right. But they can quick flash as you’re applying the brakes then go solid. Regardless, nice upgrade! I’ll do a photometric calc every so often for work, so I can appreciate the light output and the distribution of the light. That’s quality...
Yeah, I sprung for the ESP too. Those Morimoto LEDs are ?. If I was to do anything to that XLT front end, I’d go with the Morimoto headlights and grille combo! I’m gonna have to win the lottery to afford those bad boys!
Did you have a 5.0 or the 3.5 in that 2015? I’ve got a 3.5. Read somewhere that there’s been some issues with these throttle bodies on earlier model years. Knock on wood I don’t spring a leak! That’s no bueno. Hope that’s the end of your troubles for a while.
What! 1000 bucks! Good thing mine got replaced when I only had 776 miles on my truck ?? Joking aside, that’s some bs that it’s wasn’t covered under your powertrain warranty. Have you had an issues since?
Quick update…
Pre-collision turned on and intermittent alert when driving straight or coming out of a slight right hand turn at 30-50 mph.
Pre-collision turned off. No change. Still receiving same alerts. No traffic. Just curbs and lines in road. So much for getting it calibrated ??♂️
Right on! Thanks for that info. Guess it looks like I’m going down that rabbit hole next. The stock stereo sound is turns out to be just too flat. I need some bass!
What did I do today? Ah hell. Picked it up from the dealer cause it needed the throttle body replaced after going limp on the highway (rolling at 70 mph) and flashing powertrain failure alerts! Woohoo, I feel like I’m a real Ford owner now ?
Done deal. So the dealer “re-calibrated” the system and alert is gone. Driving home I noticed that the sensitivity was set at the highest setting. Like it was reset to factory settings. No big deal. Just turned the alert and the sensitivity to as low as they would go. Shutting it off just...
