  1. Detroit vs. Kansas City plants

    The 5.0L Ti‑VCT V8 in the 2024 F‑150 is the Ford "Coyote" 5.0L V8 (the modular 5.0L Ti‑VCT family used in Mustang and F‑150).
  2. Detroit vs. Kansas City plants

I think it's really good to have you on this forum. My'24 XLT with a build date of May '24 is equipped with the 5.0 engine and was produced at the KCAP. I thought all V8 powerplants in this model year were the Coyote version. Please clarify or if there is a VIN code the determine the V8 version...
  3. Ford’s Customer Service

This is just absolutely pathetic. There's no excuse for this kind of hassle on such expensive hardware. I live in Glen Rose and bought mine in May of '24 at Triple Crown in Stephenville. Not knowing where your referenced dealer is located, you may try them. I haven't had any warranty issues but...
  4. For the 3.31 haters

This is really good to know and we all appreciate your evaluation of the capability of the combination of the 5.0 and 3.31. On a different note, how did you get the display to read as you have photographed? Is Forscan required? Thanks.
  5. Anyone else hear this noise? 5.0 knock

Usually results when the octane is lower but you have that solved. May be the cooler temps in the NE where you are when first started in the mornings. Do you notice it when restarting after the engine reaches normal operating temperature?
  6. Corsa exhaust supply issues

Not a good deal at all. I looked at the Corsas but went with the Borla Touring instead. Both are quality stainless units. Check with Summit Racing if you ordered from another place. They had mine in inventory but you may have ordered directly from Corsa.
  7. Newbie: Ball hitch questions

There are numerous options for towing a camper with the weight you describe. First consideration is the tongue weight of the trailer. Has a big impact on towability, performance, and safety. Then a good quality load leveling hitch is required (I used this one...
  8. Rear Shock Upgrade Help

Would be interested in your selection. I'm not looking to mod. Just want to replace the stockers with a decent upgrade. The B6 4600 looks to be the answer. Anybody have experience or suggestions?
  9. 2024 Avalanche Build

Very nice indeed. I'm debating a Borla or Corsa install on an identical truck in a "mild "version. Good quality SS exhaust with side look is nice. How did you arrive at the Corsa with so many other exhaust choices?
  10. 2024 Start up issues (only sometimes) 5.0 v8

I would also be interested in any info/diagnosis regarding this since I have an identical build on my '24 XLT.
  11. Second transmission failure, this time catastrophic failure.

What year and engine do you have? I see the Lariat and your profile doesn't reveal that info. Just curious since I am back in a Ford after decades with GM pickups. I've followed the postings of the 10R80 issues here on the Forum and the joint venture with GM to develop and produce the same...
  12. Recommendation - Exhaust Install

'24 XLT 5.0 = considering a mild exhaust upgrade (Borla Touring possibly) and would appreciate a recommendation for a quality and trustworthy shop in The DFW area, preferably on the FW side. I have read various posts and it seems to be more of a personal preference. I'm looking for quality in a...
  13. Is the OEM rubber bed mat the best option?

I had the same question when I bought my '24 last May. Wanted the spray-in and also a high quality bed mat. Weathertech was a big disappointment and all the others I looked at were the same - very thin. I used my Ford points to buy the actual Ford part and it is far superior to any of the...
