  1. New tires with rim locks at a generic local tire shop

Beauty rings are held on with Torx Plus bits, not regular Torx bits. You can strip them with a Torx bit. Ask me how I know
  2. OpenPilot on the F-150 (BlueCruise alternative)

Understood that was my first thought as well. I have a maker space near me that will have some of the more exotic stuff and they can help me with settings.
  3. OpenPilot on the F-150 (BlueCruise alternative)

Thanks for the response! Sounds like the harness is a no go. I have a friend with a 3D printer so that takes care of that. And opening up the windshield makes this a lot more palatable.
  4. OpenPilot on the F-150 (BlueCruise alternative)

I'm trying to convince myself to take the plunge while the sale is still going on. But I have some questions. Is it necessary to have the entire screen visible, or can I tuck it up under the mirror a bit more? I don't really like how large the unit is and how much of my view is blocked. I would...
  5. Would you buy a truck that was a lemon and resold by Ford?

I personally wouldn’t be half as worried about reliability as I would be about trading the thing in. Good luck finding a dealer to take a trade in on a vehicle with a branded title. You might get a good deal on the front end but you could easily get doubly screwed when you go to sell or trade it.
  6. My 2000W Audison/Hertz/MTI Stealth SQ Audio Build

Damn you should have led with that! Can I PM you? I understand if you don’t
  7. My 2000W Audison/Hertz/MTI Stealth SQ Audio Build

The 8.9 bit software does not have a target curve function. that I can tell, other than allowing you to sum the EQ and filter into a single curve. It's all manual. And because I have a different EQ left and right, I have to manually adjust it channel by channel. Very tedious and imprecise. Of...

UPDATE Regarding the bottom of the rear seats not latching, turns out it doesn't interfere at all, but it does get nervously close. I removed both sub grills. The driver side (the 60 section of the 60/40 split will come all the way no problem. The plastic edge of the back fo the seat...
  9. My 2000W Audison/Hertz/MTI Stealth SQ Audio Build

As a DSP, it’s perfectly fine. Does what it’s asked to do perfectly. it’s the software that lets it down. If you go Prima, make sure you’re getting it installed at a shop that has the BitTune equipment to set your baselines. If you tried to tune this yourself by ear you’d be very frustrated...
  10. My 2000W Audison/Hertz/MTI Stealth SQ Audio Build

The Audison should have a secondary optical input you could feed with a CD player, mounted on top of the dash with a Molle panel. You'd need a DRC to switch between sources, but that would do what you need quite easily.
  11. My 2000W Audison/Hertz/MTI Stealth SQ Audio Build

Is Max a Scottish? My folks have three at home. Two rough, one smooth.
  12. My 2000W Audison/Hertz/MTI Stealth SQ Audio Build

You can go crazy. There are options for 4 10’s in an under seat enclosure. I just didn’t want start messing with seat lifts or losing my storage. You’d be surprised how hard these Hertz units hit.
  13. My 2000W Audison/Hertz/MTI Stealth SQ Audio Build

The time I spend in my truck is the only peace I get all day and it's the only place I can crank the volume.
  14. Best bed mat?

Do any of these work with a spray in bedliner? Found out the hard way that Line X doesn’t really hold up to a falling tool.
