We have a full shop on base I might try Monday. It’s not consistent as far as when it does it or how far in between noises the periods of noise are. I’ll update this thread until it’s solved as it’s been driving me crazy.
I mean I feel like it’s front left but seems subjective. Definitely front half of the truck, I’m just not drive shaft savvy enough to know if that’s a possible cause. I really need a lift where I can put it in drive and listen up close!
So I had torque converter and some clutch plates replaced.
But… I mentioned this noise before that repair and of course they couldn’t replicate.
It’s more of a sound than a feel I would say. But just now I coasted down street and like clockwork it was timed perfectly like I said… vrum vrum vrum...
This is driving me crazy. 2021 with 2.7 and 62k.
I pull out, and just at idle speed I can hear and feel a noise. Kind of a vrum…vrum…vrum…
sometimes if I lightly turn steering wheel I can get it to hold longer more like a vruuuuummmmmmmm
Does not do it at higher speeds.
Drive mode does not...
yep checked cold and off, that’s why my brain is hurting.
Man I’m super conflicted. I’ll post the work order, they replaced the transmission mount but I don’t see any parts related to CDF. It would be obvious right? Maybe I’m missing something. Manager even joked that they usually go ahead and...
They replaced torque converter as well as two sets of clutch plates. So transmission was removed, would that mean a full drain?
Also yes I did check at correct temp. This photo is cold, so at proper temp it was lower but still out of range.
work order showed 12 quarts
Edit: I was way off. This was the reading just now. I removed about 1.5-2qts and then got no reading on dipstick. Added 1 quart back and it’s right on the 5. The ratio doesn’t seem too even but that means dealer threw 12qts in and I’m assuming there was .5-1qt residual from removing...
Recently had torque converter replaced and dealer "filled to proper level" which I'm assuming means dumped 12 quarts in and sent me on my way.
I checked recently at proper temp and it was high, on the 4 mark of the dipstick.
The more that I think about it, I have a hard time believing these...
I dumped my 2021 2.7 pan and filter recently as well, for me the hardest part was the two bolts on the aft section, they were either 8 or 10mm and I had a heck of a time getting them out and in. I'm sure this wasn't an issue for you, I'm very amateur.
I keep reading about suction tools and I...
New tires ride better of course, went from KO2 to G3's, I'm happy.
Shudder is still there. I did go ahead and buy a 60,000 miles ESP just for powertrain. I want to keep my truck, but I feel like I'm losing my mind on the transmission issues.
On one hand, in theory, nothing major as failed...
