  1. B&O Speaker Upgrade Recommendation

I did not bi-amp my fronts as I prefer a full surround system rather than a front stage, so I powered my rears with channels 3 & 4 from the KEY. The Gladen RS kit I got from SGS included passive crossovers which I used for the fronts.
  2. B&O Speaker Upgrade Recommendation

I just used the factory wiring with the PAC Audio harness. Shouldn't be any mystery to it, all the wiring for the 8-speaker system (except the center channel and maybe the tweeters?) is right there at the back wall of the cab and follows conventional car audio color coding.
  3. B&O Speaker Upgrade Recommendation

If you only changed speakers and nothing else, you will not get any improvement. In fact, as you noted, a decrease in volume is expected because better quality speakers are made with heavier and thicker material, thus requiring more power to move the cones to produce the same volume as a lighter...
  4. Best speakers to pair with Kicker Key 200.4?

On the advice of @SoundsGoodStereo I went with Gladen RS series front and rear plus tweeters. They produce plug-n-play kits that make upgrading a breeze. I'm very happy with the sound, especially the tweeters because the factory ones are way too shrill. Well, no. The hole in the door is far...
  5. Adding a Sub to non-unleashed BO system

You need a Zen Audio NAV-TV my friend. (Despite SGS' description it isn't a "mandatory" upgrade, however it makes a significant difference in tonal quality such that if you have above-average audio perception, you should get one)
  6. PlugnPlay Kicker Key with HS10 installed …have a few questions

I have the B&O, but I don't think anyone can really help you much with the settings. That's something you just have to experiment with until it sounds the way you want. Frequency will be determined by what you have your doors putting out so you don't duplicate, and gain/bass boost are largely...
  7. B&O Speaker Upgrade Recommendation

Yes, I'm happy with it. However, I ended up doing a LOT more than just the KEY as it turns out. I would say the KEY is the single biggest improvement that you would notice and is well worth the money, but sound quality is a very subjective thing and you may find yourself chasing further...
  8. Recommendations for a Bad Auxiliary Battery

Sorry no. I was interested in that one at first until I read some reviews and discovered it's virtually a Chinese spy bot.
  9. Volume gets all fked when receiving text, using assistant, etc.

I use Android Auto with a Pixel 7 Pro in my '23, and EVERY time I get a text message, my Audio Volume automatically starts playing at Voice Volume. So if I'm listening to music at volume 5 and I get a text, it instantly goes to volume 15. Adjusting the volume shows that I am now stuck in Voice...
  10. Police Monitoring For Loud Exhaust

Good. Wish they'd introduce that here ASAFP. Your freedom to make noise ends where everyone else's ears begin.
  11. Weak battery but Ford won't replace

I bit the bullet and bought an H7 Energizer AGM at Costco. I decided just to keep the cost low rather than go with an H8 since I don't know what vehicle I'll be getting into after this lease is up, and an H8 might not fit (PB, SD, etc). Hopefully this is the end of MyView constantly resetting...
  12. Weak battery but Ford won't replace

H7 is largest for PB as far as I've seen.
  13. Weak battery but Ford won't replace

Did you stay with the existing size or upgrade?
  14. Weak battery but Ford won't replace

I suppose, but I need an AGM and an H7 at the least. I would prefer an H8 but like I said, they're $330 CAD at Costco. I definitely haven't racked up $330 worth of trips to the dealership over this, especially because I typically go in when I have several issues to address.
