I was told by a salesman that the additional 3” higher running board step made the step more user friendly to reach things in the bed of the truck. I thought the step’s primary purpose was to get riders in and out of the truck. This was not an upgrade IMO

My previous 2015 King Ranch had Deployable Running Boards with a height of 11" from the top to the ground. My new 2021 Platinum has Deployable Running Boards with a height of 14" which makes is somewhat harder to get in and out for someone with mobility issues. Not sure why Ford decided to raise...
