I tired the "pull harder and see what happens" method and now the tailgate lowers as it should. But the auto up doesn't work. When you hit the button the lights flash and nothing happens. So. Progress?
Hi all. Ran across a problem with my GatorTrax this weekend. Covered worked perfectly normally on Saturday. Went to open it on Sunday and the cover was making a really bad grinding noise and sticking when I tried to close it. Left it closed and went to investigate just now.

Maybe. It’s almost like the solenoid that opens the latch works. But the motor that lowers it never engages.
I took the cover panel off to look inside and the latches are opening and closing just fine. It feels like a stuck motor when you pull on it
Maybe. I’ll look more closely it’s not impacting. I am in Texas and it is damn hot here now. But wouldn’t pulling on it bring it past the contact and then it would drop?

I’ve had a roll up cover on for ~25k...
I drive a lot of Texas highways and the first thing I do is set cruise to 70. So if I bump it down to 68 it should be using more hybrid power rather than ICE power? And subsequently a little better mpg aside from the decreased speed? Did I interpret what you wrote correctly?
New to me '21 502A, powerboost, camper and bed rug came with the truck, jury is still out if I keep it or go folding hard cover. Likely a level and new tires are on the horizon. Loving it so far, came from a short bed 2018 XLT with the 2.7. Not the greatest pics, but you get the idea.
