I have noticed similar in 1.4. I have seen circumstances where it is normally stays in hands-free but different weather/sun drops it back to hands-on with lane centering. What’s odd in these situations is the lane-centering continues to work fine so it must be seeing the lines.

To help others avoid my mistake. I did a FordPass reset in the truck thinking it would help with some app troubles I was having. Fixed the app but it deactivated / cancelled BlueCruise, which was unfortunate given I had 24 months left pre-paid. Connected Services was very friendly about it...
