That’s funny, my epa sticker said the same thing as my buddies 22 5.0 SC, but his has the start stop.
so your theory is now they didn’t choose eco as default because it’s for nerds? Are you even in your 20s? “Nerd-mode” sounds like something my 8 year old would say.
don’t know if I agree with your theory simply because most the fords are the latter half of 2021 had auto start stop delete. I actually wanted it, but couldn’t find one with it and couldn’t order it at the time. Did all those auto start stop deletes mess up the average ratings?
Also, wouldn’t...
No… because Ford forgot to make it an option to remember the last drive mode you were in…. Too much hassle to have to push “ok” within a certain time period or before you put in in drive or reverse.
I mean seriously… all the planning into it and the technology/different modes, yet it can’t...
LOL. Cruise control kills your MPG’s? I don’t think anyone in their right mind would think cruise should be used on downgrade mountain passes. How about stray from steep declines, that’ll help with MPGs…
And bed covers help with MPGs? Dude, this has been proven incorrect MANY, MANY times. Just...
No… This is for people who don’t know how to drive. Like those who say they get the same MPGs in eco and sport mode. The throttle response is way less in eco mode. Another big difference is in the v8, cylinder deactivation is used in eco mode… which is not used in sport, makes a big difference...
Curious, would you do and accept the same if this was rust on the fixed panels or roof? I mean who looks at the roof anyways, the rear diff and axel are more visable right? Also since we are only talking this is cosmetic and could be fixed by our selves…
It’s a little less torquey and switches gears faster in lower rpm’s, but your right still goes when you stomp it. It’s not as fun as S mode but my 5.0 still screams.
In eco mode I’m getting 20.5-21. Normal mode 1-1.5 mpg less, in S mode… it’s so much funnier to stomp it I get around 16!
It asks this ONLY when you were in eco mode on your last trip.
This is what gets me the most…. the logic behind this programming bedazzles me the most:
At some point ford says hey, some of our buyers will want to use eco mode frequently, or almost every time they are driving. So instead of...
I had the same wildpeaks on my gladiator that were 285/75 17s which is close to a 34” tire. Loved them, very quiet, great in snow and rain. They are a little on the heavy side but overall great tire!
I’ve had the 2015 3.5EB and now the 2021 5.0. I get 2/3 mpg better in the 5.0, and it’s so much more fun to drive, maybe it is just the roar of the 5.0?
Did you check for the rust underneath? There was a lariat PP on the lot that looked horrible last week. *Hope yours looks as good as it does on the outside as it does underneath!
This is the response from Ford:
“Good morning, Daniel. I do see that you have had a case created for this issue already, and it was determined by our escalated truck team that there are no warranties or programs that will provide coverage for your truck's rust concern. I am not able to change...
