Who told you that? The stealership? Sounds like a crock of crap. Mine happened at my house… I have never had it happen with my wife’s Explorer or any of my previous trucks. Makes me think something is malfunctioning. Only happened once so far, so we shall see.
I have a 2025 Powerboost, bought April this year. This exact same thing just happened to me. Truck wouldn’t remote start, lock/unlock. I manually unlocked the door at the handle and the truck finally recognized the fob. My truck also randomly won’t lock the first time I press lock button when...
As my dad always said… gotta pay to play. Ford engineers design these trucks with every little variable in mind to maximize the MPGs. As soon as you start changing the equation with different tires, lift, etc - you will impact MPG. Like everyone else said: Rotational mass, rolling resistance...
No kidding, these fancy LED projectors are high dollar. I hope we don’t run into issues with our daytime running LEDs. I see some F150s going down the road with half out or discolored. Once you’re out of 36k warranty, you’re screwed.
My thoughts exactly. Hers hasn’t really gotten any worse in 2 years of peeling. Not worth messing with them at this point. Probably will be trading it in once the 2027 Explorer major redesign comes out anyways.
Did you do anything about her explorer or just let it be? Definition report back on your 2025
I let it be. She has an extended power train warranty, but her bumper to bumper was expired by the time the lights started peeling. I have not tried a headlight repair kit. I have been kinda worried...
My wife has a 2020 Explorer ST, we bought it brand new in November of 2019. Her headlights started peeling just like this a few years ago, the car was about 3 years old when the peeling started. I have personally hand washed the car every single time with Meguiar’s car soap, and have never used...
IMO: Although rolling resistance does play into the equation of MPG, I think the biggest factor by far is the rotational mass. Turning a much heavier tire puts a lot more load on your truck. There should be rolling resistance specs that can be looked up on the tires to compare. I think you will...
Same here. The OEMs on my 2025 were shot within 6 months. I just replaced with Bosch Icons and they have been perfect for the last 2 months. To the OP: Ditch your OEMs and get some Bosch Icons. Especially with winter wet weather on the way, you won’t regret it.
I’m super finicky when it comes to my vehicles and how I detail them. A magic eraser won’t be touching my paint either. Good to know about methyl hydrate working for tree sap.
