That TSB is 24-2084 I think and it a APIM, TCU, and GWM update. Those can take a bit of time to complete. That being said I think they could be a bit easier on you then a 1000 bucks to do it. I'd be asking them to work with you on the price. They are just guessing on the time it will take to...
You are not performing the draw test properly. Read up on how to do it before you drive yourself nuts with incorrect readings. The meter must be in amps and it must complete the circuit between the neg battery terminal and neg truck terminal and you must wait 45 mins before you take a reading of...
I can't tell you what they do exactly but I would say something on the truck does not work correctly with them blown. Find what's not working right and you should be closer to your answer.
I was just reading the manual. Apparently there is a setting in the sync system to put the tailgate in manual mode which limits messaging on the dash. Worth a look. I've never tried it or looked for it. Just something I came across.
When the trucks came to me they were unloaded and no trailer on and I could make them make a single clunk on Accel sometimes they would clunk once coming off Accel. These were all parking lot maneuvers from a stop. Just a quick stab of the throttle. I never had the chance to test in any other...
I've seen it before. Check the torque on the leaf spring u bolts. I have had about 5 trucks with them not tight enough allowing the diff to shift on Accel. Just moves enough to make a clunk. I can't remember the torque spec off the top of my head.
If your driving around with tires that worn to be that different front to rear you need 4 new anyways. Fix it right or don't bother fixing it at all. Worn a bit more is still fine to put where ever you want. If they are worn to the point they will hydroplane slow down cuz your dumb or replace...
Yes this is what I was saying. There are AWD that are bias to the rear wheels. Such as Mercedes S550 4matic and Infiniti g35x to name a couple. But anything front wheel bias would normally get the new tires on the front.
I have dummy plugs to put in the connectors when the tail gate is removed. They came with the truck. Not sure if they trick the truck into thinking the gate is closed or not. I've never tried them.
A leak there will never throw a code. It's downstream of all the emission devices. Just an FYI. I would still get another opinion if it's bugging you. Wish I could help more but that's all I got for you.
